QuoteMathijs Of course Charlie is worth way, way more than 30 million... Mathijs Without doubt. I expect a lot of it's in Shirley's name or abroad. All carefully and legally structured I believe he had property in Feance He moved to his Devon home in 1982 and was in the South of France for 10 odd years before that.

QuoteSimonN Hello, Looks like Echo & The Bunnymen are the support act for the Anfield show. That's a result- I've never seen them, and it'll help offset the outrageous ticket price (£35), hah-hah! See you there... Cheers, Simon. I’m pleased with that choice too. Being local boys, it should boost ticket sales. Could be a good night for we lucky dippers Ss

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quoteshattered1978 Yep, Dutch soccer shirt. The symbol is the Dutch lion. Pinkpop 14 on fire was during the FIFA world cup. I thought it was red, with three lions (England). It was before I had my morning coffee, though Pedantic I know but said 3 “Lions” are actually Leopards. Conveniently ignored by the English because it would mess up too many of their songs. Only 1

This is the missing song 17 mai 2019 Never seen before performance of The Who at Live Aid in Wembley Stadium, London on the 13th July, 1985. QuoteValeswood Quotegrzegorz67 The event was certainly not without its technical hitches - the Who were cut off mid set and footage of their complete set only resurfaced about 3 years ago. I have not seen or heard the full set, is it available? The BBC1 The One Show showed it a week or 2 before the Who played the new Wembley in 2019. It might have been a private video rather than BBC fo

Quotevertigojoe July 3. I hope they will acknowledge the anniversary of Brian’s death. I won’t be holding my breath though. They didn’t in Washington 3 years ago and that was the 50th anniversary. They did, however play Mercy, Mercy as a one off so possibly a subtle nod to him.

Quotetimmyj3 My opinion is that U2 stole the show. They planted their flag as one of the all time great bands. I think the Stones could have been a tour de force if they would have been on stage as the Stones. I also heard that that jackoff Geldof blew off The Kinks who were interested in perfroming. Could be BS but have read it a few different time. I was 18 back then and watched the whole

Quotejahisnotdead I bet there's a lot of perks being a Lord. Special parking space, scepter, crown, probably a cool robe with his initials on it. Most of them are half asleep in there all day. They get an attendance allowance of 3 or 400 quid a day and generous expenses, though nothing that'll make any difference to Macca! I don't think they get crowns. The House of Lords is u

Hoping to see you again sometime on the day. Only a trip on the train from Epsom for me, and probably get there early afternoon and plenty of time to take it easy and see a few o

QuoteHairball Sir Paul McCartney considered for ‘fitting tribute’ to celebrate 80th birthday Macca SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY is being considered for a peerage to mark the moment the former Beatles singer celebrates his 80th birthday, reports suggest. The 'Let it Be' composer had already received an MBE back in 1965 and was then given a knighthood from the Queen in 1997 for his service

Quotedaspyknows QuoteTopi Quotegrzegorz67 Quotedaspyknows Regular GA available for both shows right now. That’s good. The 1st show is definitely selling better than the 2nd. It was the same in 2013, though back then the shows went on sale a week apart. The 2nd show in 2013 wasn’t quite a sellout. I’m not buying yet. I will be in the park, Ticketless on both showdays. It won’t be hard to get one

Quoteronniewoody91 It's kinda funny to me that Ronnie has this bunch of musicians he can play gigs with outside of the Stones and Keith has the Winos..and then there is Mick whose live solo efforts always came across as kinda ridiculous to me...it's just amusing that the Stone who wanted to break away from the band the most, in the end is the one who is most dependent on them...I think

Quotea bigger nut 10:30pm curfew is good information. Then what part in the park the stage installed and entrances ?? The BST festival site has been in the North East corner of Hyde Park since it began, 10 or 11 years ago. The stage is at the South End of the site and faces North hence Gold Circle East for Ronnie's side and West for Keith with a diamond pit that side. GA usually enter

Quotenobodyimportant Re the 10.30 pm curfew ..... Just as well, given the pitiful lack of late-night public transport in the UK. It's fine in London. Just don't hang around too long after the show. Make sure you get your train or bus. If going to Hyde Park, please note they often close Marble Arch Tube station after gigs in the park - it just gets swamped. head for a nearby stati

Quotepetewasbristol Quotebv Quotepetewasbristol Just trying to plan trains home. There is a train from Paddington back home to Bristol at 11.30 for the first Hyde Park gig. Can anyone remember what time the BST shows end? I know they have a curfew for 11.00 but I believe (if I remember rightly) that most bands finish at 10.30 (I think in 2013 Stones came on stage at 8.30 and ended at 10.30?). Tha

It is indeed, but only from London. I used it for the 3 Paris shows in 2017. Time is down to just over 2 hours. It's the only high speed line we have. We're currently building anot
