Quotewelshphil Quotemonkeymantoo Quotestraycatuk The acoustics are absolutely terrible . They would rather play Twickenham , West Ham or (probably) Emirates stadiums sc ukAbsolutely agree. Having seen both the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac in Wembley, the acoustics were awful. I also once met one of the architects on the new stadium. He told me that music concerts were not part of the design! A

QuoteTopi I think hockenheim95 is correct, cannot recall a single private show that took place outside of a tour. Definitely not in recent years. In 1977 El Macombo in Toronto was 6 months after Knebworth. The Ian Stewart tribute show in London in 1986 was nearly 4 years after their previous show in Leeds and 3.5 before their next in Philly ! But in the 1989+ era of big glitzy producti

Quotestraycatuk The desert dust wrecked Mick's voice for the following Vegas shows , so I can't see him wanting to go back as he turns 80 sc uk This, every day of the week with bells and whistles. Mick does not thrive in hot dusty environments and this was repeated in Prague 2018 when his voice packed in towards the end of the show.

Quoteslewan Quotespikenyc Mick will turn 80 yrs old in July. I hope they plan something special if they are touring then. I bet they won't do a show on that day Whenever they’re on tour around his birthday they’ve never played on the day itself as far back as I can remember. Last year Gelsenkirchen was the day after. They’ve played the day before or after numerous times down the years.

Not 100% about Mick for the reasons already given by others but imho she’s got Keith absolutely spot on for 1981/82.

Sudden and sad. I always thought he looked in good nick for his age. RIP Jeff Beck. Saw his guest spot with the Stones at the very 1st 50 and Counting show at the O2 in November 2012.

Well done Marco. I enjoyed that a lot. Brings it all back. I’m 55 and as far as I recall, Charlie is the only musician to date whose death has brought me to tears. I’ve attended 4 Stones shows since we lost him and for me the enjoyment just isn’t the same without him. I agree it would be nice if the remaining Stones covered it.

I can’t believe this. I saw the Specials supporting the Stones in his home city of Coventry just 4 and a half years ago and they were outstanding with Terry’s voice as good as ever. Rest in peace sir and so glad I got to see you live. I was at that show with my sister and she had a right good dance to all the old hits. Some right good tunes with Rat Race being my personal favourite.

QuoteParis75014 Quoteumakmehrd Yes clearly outclassed by Croatia... But we did score our 1st world cup goal ever ! Alfonso ! great experience for 2026 I believe we are automatically qualified as a host country. yes and there will be 48 countries instead of 32 at the moment. 48 Countries? Maybe Scotland have a chance of being there . But seriously 48 is a ridiculous number. Until Argentina 78

QuoteBig Al Meh! A ‘nothing game’, but we, the English, are in the driving seat, at least. You’ll still win your group with ease I think. Everyone has a bad game. To repeat Lee Dixon’s statement of the bloody obvious, if you don’t lose, you stop the opposition from winning 3 points. Well strike me down with a feather .

QuoteHairball Stevie Wonder, Macca, Bono, and a slew of side musicians including Abe Laboriel jr. and Pino Palladino, not to mention Steve Jordan, Chuck Leavell, Darryl Jones, et al.... Sounds like it's going to take an entire village to complete a new Stones album (!), but even without the Stones involved, could be an interesting "Supergroup"....maybe add someone like Joe Wals

I'm pretty much with you though I'd personally go for a 1965-67 show with the full original lineup. I saw 4 shows this year and I beg to differ but though I enjoyed the shows, for me it just isn't the same without Charlie. At 2 original members and 10 odd back

I am Scottish, British and strongly opposed to the Monarchy but I still feel sad at the news. I’m 55 and she’s been there all my life. She had the role forced on her without warning as a 25 year old mother of 2 small children and spent the next 70 years giving it her all as she saw fit, with unstinting dignity, energy and a strong sense of duty, right to her final breath. Just 2 days before she d

Quotegeorgemcdonnell314 They just played a smaller venue which I attended and they also played a small venue last stop in the US. QuoteJumpinJeppeFlash 10 shows at MSG? Jesus, dream on. The days of playing smaller arenas is over. If they do anything more from now on it will be stadiums with very few exceptions. Both were one off and the only such shows on their respective tours though.

5.9.1998 at the Malieveld in The Hague, Netherlands on the BtB tour. With 86,000 present in a park in the middle of the city, it started raining torrentially shortly after the start and continued to do so throughout the show. We all got soaked to the skin but the band still performed remarkably well, though they did cut the vote song from their set. The fans were remarkably jovial and in good spi

QuoteTopi QuoteStonesfan2146 They didn't play arenas in 2021. Last time they played an arena was 2016 in Las Vegas. Only thing that came close to an arena last year was the hard rock Miami show, with an average ticket price of 500$+ Yeah, and their latest actual arena tour dates back to the spring/early summer of 2013. They used most of the old 50 and Counting Tongue Pit setup for a co

QuoteGerardHennessy Some people clearly fantasising for fun about what might happen next. But a lot of unrealistic rumour-mongering, and claims about inside information too. As someone who is also in his 70s and counting I'm astounded by some of the expectations written here. I'm not claiming to be as fit as Mick, or as road-hardened as Ronnie & Keith, but I'm in good shape

Quotethecitadel No tour later this year - if one was discussed it isn't any more. No tour in South America - you cannot get any profit out of some countries, even if you make some, which is unlikely. So Japan/Australia/NZ/somewhere else is one option for next year - they usually start there in March. The other option is the US/Canada. Timing like the original 2019 dates maybe as it

They were in the US a little over 8 months ago. We're all fans but I think it's a bit much to be calling for their return so soon when they have tens of millions of fans all around the World whose countries haven't had a show in years, notably the Pacific Rim and South America. The new stage may not be the prettiest, but it strikes me that it's clearly designed with ease o

4 pages and not one solid rumour - impressive. When in London I heard chit chat from a number of sources that they want to do South America next year. Not as profitable as Europe or North America but without doubt the youngest and most lively and enthusiastic audiences in the World to play to which must be very energising for them. European and especially US audiences tend to be older and quieter
