You're right of course. I did not specify it further because there is only one Wiltern show seeded on Dime at the moment. I'm talking about the first evening, October 15 which you can find exactly here: Dimeadozen - Wiltern Theatre October 15, 2002 From the torrent description: QuoteWiltern Theatre Los Angeles, California October 15, 2002 Taper/Mastered by JB Source: Sonics

The tour is over, but I'll use this thread one more time to recommend you a bootleg that is (still) available on Dime: If you can (and are interested): go and get the 2002 show at Wiltern Theatre! Perfect sound, a mighty fine setlist and, above all, a wonderful and powerful performance through and through. I especially enjoy Seeing the real you at last, Floater, Tell me that it isn'

I'm not surprised at all that Bob does not play the new material yet. It was the same story with Modern Times in 2006. The album appeared in August while Bob was touring the US, but no song was played before the fall tour which started in october. I did not expect new songs to be played in Europe and I'll be very surprised if Bob decides to do so in the remaining concerts. But peopl

The El Bulli and Ferran Adria (was that his name) are very popular anyway. I sure find it interesting, I've read that they have a real... well some sort of laboratory where they try to find new ideas for recipes. But you'll have to order your table 6 months or so in advance...

Can't wait to hear this show as a bootleg! From what I've read this must have been a fantastic concert with the Italian crowd going completely mad during Return To Me and LARS. Bob keeps on digging in the archives obviously. I still very lively remember the fantastic renditions of Waiting For You he gave in 2005 during the Brixton shows. A song which is somehow similar in style to Re

QuoteErik_Snow Even though dcba is not seeding this one, he he, I recommend this torrent: sensational performance...with guest star Neil Young. Joey, In The Garden and Gates Of Eden are highlights...for me Hey - I think Tod attended this....makes it a piece of history I reckon Wow, thanks for the tip! I'm having a great easter sunday listening to this bootleg nonstop. It even sounds gr

I was there yesterday and it was a fantastic concert! A truly rocking show with some very fine songs. Gotta serve somebody is one hell of an opener, I finally heard Every Grain of Sand in concert and Honest with me might have been the best performance of the band during the whole evening with great guitar solos (yes!!). Bob clearly was in a great shape last night and he smiled during the whole s

I can almost hear how powerful My Lucky Day / Night work together. The sequence Seeds / Johnny 99 / Ghost of Tom Joad which then resolves in Working on the Highway must work very well, too! Great stuff!

I was always sceptical about the accordeon but if those 30 seconds can in any way be representing the way the accordeon is used on the album, then I'm convinced. It really sounds like it's part of the music, not like something only added to make the song sound "distinct".

Quotedcba OT but worth mentioning on Dime there's now the fabulous Charlotte 1978 show taken from a clean transfer of the very nice master tape. It TOTALLY destroys the lame "Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte" boot CD on Dandelion. I recommend it Finally!!! This must be the tip of the month! Thank you, dcba!

Quotedcba "the quality of the recording could be better" Imho it's the kind of tape Crystal Cat could nick on Dime, slightly re-EQ and sell as their own... Try to boost the 16K till the sound becomes loud and clear without sounding glassy. I've found it improves the quality of the rec. greatly. Not all the tapes circulating freely are taped with a Neumann KM 140 mike at

Very good performance, but the quality of the recording could be better... I really like "Most likely..." as an opener, it kicks things off perfectly. I also adore the live versions of Tryin' to get to heaven, Cry a while and I don't believe you. Stuck inside of Mobile finally got another intro. I think he could exchange that for another song from Blonde on Blonde, say,

There is an interview with Bob on his upcoming album Together Through Life on his official website. It's an interesting read and it's going to be continued also. Bob on Together Through Life Note that the image with the couple making out on the backseat is indeed the front cover of the upcoming album (!)

Quoteerikjjf QuoteMacPhisto However, it seems to me there are very few dates for Europe. Only 1 show in Germany obviously and only 1 in Spain as well. Two in Germany, Berlin and Gelsenkirchen. It is safe to say there will be another 5-10 shows in Europe. This morning Gelsenkirchen was in the list but strangely enough it has disappeared from u2.com around noon...

If the information about ticket prices is correct, this would be a great move for fans. At least standing tickets would then be cheaper than on the Vertigo tour three years ago. However, it seems to me there are very few dates for Europe. Only 1 show in Germany obviously and only 1 in Spain as well.

Do you know Tryin' to get to heaven or Highlands, otonneau? Those are both fantastic songs managing to be world-weary and funny at the same time. I just dig the melancholy of those songs combined with hilarious verses as for instance the sugartown line in Tryin' to get to heaven. Don't mean to brainwash you ;-) Just thought you might enjoy those because from your last post I tak

Quoteotonneau Saying "I'm reading James Joyce" is snobbish name-dropping, which I find annoying anywhere. Hm, so what exactly do you tell other people when you're reading James Joyce except "I'm reading James Joyce"? I don't see anything snobbish about saying that you're reading James Joyce. Well, back to the good news: apart from the new album

This is an interesting story. I must admit I never heard of it before. Does anybody know any details? What song he played to prove his identity perhaps? It's hard to imagine Bob browsing the web and joining a chatroom ;-)
