QuoteDandelionPowderman 'X factor is the competent Waddy Wachtel' Nuff said... Keith put together a fantastic live band and Waddy is the X factor in that live band to me. Keith himself shines when he is challenged. Keith needs the competence and the versatility of a Waddy to keep him focussed on the music. The Winos sound exactly like what we want them to sound like - loose and seem

Including Taylor, there were always other bands who where better players individually than the members of the Stones were. But this clip clearly shows that no matter how competent, t

QuoteThrylan I don't or would never want him out.....but a lot of Michael Jordan's teammates would tell you he was an a$$hole, and didn't enjoy his company off the court. Yes....strange topic, indeed. Sure - Jordan's teammates would tell you he was an a$$hole, and didn't enjoy his company off the court. Jordan left the Bulls citing a loss of desire to play the game.

Quotekleermaker The Rolling Stones, especially Jagger, are masters in blowing up things, in not using the possibilities available. This tour we see that phenomenon again, causing all kinds of theories and speculation. All because of personal egos and interests. That's the fate of this band and why it will never be remembered as great as the Beatles. Of course no Rolling Stones without Jag

QuoteThrylan True. As far as "who wrote what", likely Keith came with chords, structure and lyrical ideas. Brian's slide it beautiful in its simplicity; what he plays is obvious, likely the first thing that would pop up for anyone laying down slide on that. Mick likely "finished" the lyrics, and bam! Classic Stones track. "likely Keith came with chords, structure a

I seem to remember that Mick, conscious that he had made a brilliant solo album, took care that it should not impair MAIN OFFENDER's possiblities and waited for some time to release WANDERING SPIRIT. He waited until exactly one week after Macca rele

Quotestonesrule JMarko, were you at the gig or did you watch the videos? I'm confused as to was this a geat show?...people crying tears for Keith etc. I like to believe the good stuff but it's difficult to know who to believe. I first heard the Stones around the time of the release of Dirty Work and then got hooked on Undercover. The band has been a somewhat unhealthy obsessi

Mick Jagger's world music playlist Chris Jagger talks to his brother, Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, about his favourite music from around the world Way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth and pop bands had names like the Honeycombs, I was working at the Hampstead Theatre Club in North London and sometimes staying at my brother’s spacious apartment near Regent’s Park. He was mos

QuoteDoxa It sounded like a relief. - Doxa This one line "It sounded like a relief" summarises Talk is Cheap and Keith's solo efforts. In 1987-88, it was indeed a relief. That is Richards' single greatest post 1972 achievement - that his minimalism provided perceived relief in a plastic era. TIC has some really nice moments - calling TIC a great album is however some

Must have been the ´78 tour then, which might have been planned in ´77 but surely not fixed

For the Boston June 12th show we seem to have 2 options? 1- Citi Private Pass Pre-Sale April 12 10AM EDT 2- General On-Sale Monday April 15 10AM EDT So I take it that Boston will not have the $85 ticket offerings? Is this correct?

Quotelatebloomer The website is a mess, now it's saying that tickets to all the shows are sold out, even the ones like Philly that haven't gone on sale yet. Who the heck is running their website? The WEBsite is indeed quite a mess (intentional perhaps...??) It said that Boston was TBA - then sold out - and now it again says TBA....
