We Never Forget Brave new world. Meanwhile ..... Mick Fleetwood in for last few gigs. And why keep Darryl for those? He"s a session player and a hired hand. I totally agree about bass-swapping roles in absence of real Brit r'n'b bassist. Meanwhile .... we all hope Taylor is ok and all wish him good health - - is what's on my mind right now.

Ok, put him on Maracas And saxophone. Put Mick Fleetwood on drums. A huge Stones nut. And in the absence of Bill - that man MacVie For the Grand Finale

I expect that Mick T may be feelingis Blue and Lonesome. It's his life. Stones never the GR&RB without him. Thanks and praises. Put Ronnie on drums. Bill on bass. MT and Keith on guitars - and, ladies and gentlemen, we have - The Rolling Stones. Would of course be great to have MT and Bill guesting on final ( ( I reckon) studio album.

Quote24FPS Good to hear from him. I was beginning to worry that maybe he was fading, but it's the damn Covid, making all our lives miserable. Such fantastic musicians found each other, and five became one. But it's not making Bill's love miserable. Just creative in different areas. People with interests and creative minds aren't miserable. Helps to have money, yes.

Quoteds1984 The mainstream music changed, The Rolling Stones also evolued but not that far. So from my point of view the last big hit is Start Me UP. After that, they got some decent hit single but none of them seems to be strong enough to enter their "golden song" list. Personaly, "Out Of Control" is my faviourite RS song post the SMU era. But to get a hit as bi

Yes, the only one I had is Yessongs by .... Yes. But yup, Sandinista stands out - by the best creative and raw genuine rock band from 77 - '82. Untouchably good live in that period too.

Yes, first part is same as / v similar to Smoke on the Water. But the whole progression, including it's conclusion really is top Keith stuff. So much deserved development into a full song. Knocks the socks off the relatively lame rockers he put on TIS - I can't think why he ignored this track for that album - although nothing else there is in this kick- arse calibre - - anyw

Actually Out Of Tears was very good - if released in '76 it would have been a huge hit like Fool to Cry. But they weren't, in 95 - and even less now - 'current' - ntrendy - poular - no longer appealing to the young

I think that their last good single ( other than LIAGT) is Harlem Shuffle. A cover, I know. The well ran dry because Bill Wyman left!

What a Fantastic track! From which album's sessions? I don't know answer to your question but that might give a clue. If DW sessions ,- very possibly someone else.

It is far better than Summer Romance which may have replaced it. But I think of it as a SG out-takes. Lies is the most replaceable track on that album but not sure how Claudine would have worked there in its place. Certainly has more substance.

QuoteStoneage Apparently only I saw the last show in Miami. Do you realize that Keith isn't 39 anymore? He has clear problems with intros, his playing is on and off, sometimes more off than on and he sits down during parts of the show. Ronnie can't cover for him anymore and Ronnie's solos are quite bland. In this situation setlists are secondary. The main thing is being able to car

QuoteRockman (The songs) come in different ways, SO many different ways. For instance, You Got Me Rocking. It started off as Keith playing the piano as sort of a slow, boogie-woogie blues. And the form was, like, just the same thing going round and round and round. You never knew whether you were singing the verse or the chorus. And it was very fluid, good fun and all that. But then, when we went

Look, they did that tour for Charlie. Good. But there is no band called the Rolling Stones any more. There's singer/dancer etc and there are two guitarist. That's not our band. Never was. So, one new album, a few 60th shows, assuming that Keith is up to it, and then call it a day while retaining their dignity and credibility- and our respect and gratitude.

QuoteAquamarine QuoteFour Stone Walls Killer is great - - but the man plays golf! I saerw him being interviewed at a charity event in 2019, and he said that daytime golf Alice didn't know/recognize "that guy," nighttime rocker Alice. I've an idea then : daytime rocking and night-time golf. Or he could sleep during the night and get a proper dayjob - or write more

Well perhaps this explains his decline in rock credibility and into showmanship./ vaudeville Killer still felt real ( except maybe Dead Babies maybe) Recorded in UK? Elected a fine single from shortly afterwards Only Women Bleed a remarkable track from first solo album, even though the golf addiction must-have been.becoming very serious by then

Don't Stop WAS good on that tour, yes, being (I think) the only new song played. Something fresh. Same with Doom and Gloom. But although brave, Trouble's a Coming not the best choice Which other though?

Yes, cohesive band sound - even on weaker numbers like ATWD and Too Tough. A real Groove going on Edit: ( thinking aloud) in fact a lot of this kind of live engagement had been lacking on ER album - largely a series of 'performances') The other good 'engaged' numbers being Pain of Love and SWH to large extent - and although Keith's Wanna Hold' is slight at l
