Quoteemotionalbarbecue I would pay money in exchange for hearing the conversations (during 72 and 73 tour) between Mick and Keith after they listened Taylor playing like that . I'm not sure what you mean here. Firstly I doubt that Mick and Keith talked much after a show and secondly why would they talk about Taylor's playing? I'm leaning towards the view that you think they

Another thing I have learnt from thoughts provoked by this thread is that: although Undercover is a running out of ideas album, a having to do another album more for contractual reasons than to the love of working and being together - to the extent that Jagger would then prefer to make his own album and hope to pursue his own career - it is still a way better album than Voodoo Lounge. Pretty much as I remember it - Keith leading from the front and everyone trying to keep up. But here the audience are so static. At Wembley they were all on their feet clapping and dancing - right to the back. ( this started with Rambler at the gig I was at)

Yes, and instead of the cartoon characters Snap, Crackle and Pop we can have a video of Keith, Michael and Ron getting wildly excited while eating their favourite breakfast cereal. Hmmm, a whole album of breakfast cereal jingles. Where's Brian when you need him?

I have finally started listening to the 50 track collection. I had mentioned above that my entree to this was via a 12 track selection of them on a separate 'boot' which offeredotself to me on YouTube. It is titled ' Studio Outtakes Special Edition's It is a vinyl release? - hence the twelve tracks I guess. On listening to the 50 track collection I immediately noti

An 80s project would work. I think they have enough for Steel Wheels Deluxe ( if you consider that only 3 'new' '72 too '73 songs were put on GHS te-issue. It was an important era - relaunch of the band really. Unlike Gazza I think Bridges deluxe would fly. Lots of great out-takes, as evidenced on FFSO - and a strongish album I think, with good live shows. Their

Not Bill on bass I think. Mick T I would say. Hmmm, now thinking Keith! I like it more than most stuff on IORR - could easily make a better version of that album knowing now what there was to play with. But it sounds / feels closer to an exile vibe.

QuoteGreen Lady QuoteCaptainCorella QuoteGreen Lady Well, Mr. Kite is still on Dartford Borough Council, so if he hasn't got round to fixing the plaque, you can contact him and complain. But the honest answer is probably that cash-strapped Dartford Council has 45969 more urgent things to spend its ratepayers' money on. If Mr Kite wants to promote Dartford - which is appropriate - a

All this thread is about, is the fact that Mick and Keith met on the Dartford train station platform, that was the beginning of something great, we all know the rest. Yes, this thread is saying that they met on a station in Dartford. Without that there would have been no Little boy Blue an

I think it is Bill here. A simple repetitive punchy pattern. I also think it's Charlie - which, considering how it is said he was in really bad shape then, is pretty amazing. Cos the drums are great. On this selection Desperate Man comes 3 tracks after Nobody's Perfect. What struck me - much the same bass pattern on its verses but much slower,as on the chorus of Nobody's

It's sonically great - but it's a rich man's blues - created by a rich man and the words are clever but is Jagger really feeling blue himself or on behalf of anyone else? Hence the justified parody references. Playing with words and with his voice ( Americanization). Far more genuine Stones' blues for me are Wish I'd Never Met You and Fancy man Blues. They feel as i

Well, I have come to this late. I am only a quarter of the way through this 46-page thread. Well worth the wait though. I first discovered about these outtakes from a 10 or 11 song selection on a single CD that popped up on YouTube. It has picture of Jagger as an undead pirate on its cover! More details on that soon. But one of its tracks is 'Nobody"s Perfect'. I see that
