Besides the band not touring together for years I think there were two drastic changes which came about in 1989. First was the digital age. The sound was "airy". Second was the theatrics. Older tours the band rolled with the flow. Now Mick had to stand in a certain spot at a certain time. It became more of a theatrical show than the tours of the past.

I just went down and had breakfast. The people at the table across from me won tickets at the Lucky Jean store last night they had give away. A couple pairs of tickets were given out, a Fender guitar and a bunch of shirts, buttons and CD's. Anyone else hear about this? I did not see this posted on here.

News channel 7 is broadcasting from the stadium they just said some campers were lined up since yesterday. Couple of regulars from here made the cut. They said the same items can be brought into the stadium as a football game. Abbot road will close at 3:00 they said for those of you going to Hammers Lot. Well , I am going to Hammers Lot to meet up. If there are no spaces left I'll park in the official lot and walk on over. I am sure the "unofficial" lots" will be where most of us will be. I am waiting for a reply before sending $$ paypal. John says it is reputable so I am going to take his word for it and if he is bringing a grill and coolers it makes it very enticing.

I am heading up from DC. Its only an hour flight from BWI and that seemed the way to go. Getting a place to stay was difficult I called one place they were overbooked already. I have tons of vinyl. Some first pressings. They sound better on vinyl than digital from 1981 back at least I think so. There is one 45 I have never figured out it has Mothers Little help and two instrumentals on it. Maybe someone can help me out on it.

I did not check out the airport hours but I am heading out on the first Southwest flight Sunday which leaves just after 7:00. If they want me to check in an hour ahead the airport has to be open at least 5:00. I agree I have never heard of an international airport closing at night.

Having read all 10 pages of this thread I don't see many options to get from the hotels to the stadium and back to the hotel. Are there any hotels that offer shuttles to stadium events? Or, is the best option just to find someone at the same hotel and split a taxi. Any suggestions on getting around?
