I would suspect that he now finds it difficult to play and sing at the same time. Dave Davies has had the same problem since his stroke.

Thanks for the info, erikjjf. I tend to agree with lem and the individual who posted a couple days ago that we can't have it both ways where Keith's limitations are concerned. Interesting stuff, nonetheless.

Agreed that it reads like a transcript. I'm not surprised. Keith has spent a lot of time crafting his public persona. To not have the book read like his genuine voice would be foolish. And to WeLoveYou, both of Ronnie's books used co-authors or ghost writers. Bill German did the honors on the first one.

I've always liked the song a lot. One of my favorites on the album. Mick rushes through the lyric for some reason. Much of the album feels speeded up and it is the first appearance of the dreaded click track.

Some very good responses and a very good Debbie Harry photo. Thanks on both counts.

While possible I also heard rumors in the seventies about the band having to use roadies to play guitar because Keith and Ronnie were so out of it. It's up there with Mick is bald. I'd believe it if so many mid-seventies shows didn't offer proof of them being wasted and playing. Sort of how I feel about Blondie. Third guitar I can accept. If he's playing Keith's role, why

Agreed on Blondie's talent as a guitarist. I was impressed with his playing first on Taylor's STRANGER IN THIS TOWN CD, before that I just knew "Sail On, Sailor" and quite honestly thought he was just a Carl Wilson soundalike and didn't pay him any mind. My biggest thought about Flame was Ricky Fataar being one of The Rutles. That has changed and I now appreciate his tale

I thought Mick said he was against it, but the rest of the band wanted the money. That's my recollection. I can't recall a specific source, but I think it was a TV interview.

StonesTod, do you really think Blondie played on 11 songs each night - and played that much of a role? I'm not arguing with you. I'm just looking for honest answers from those who would know for sure. Come On, sorry if I sounded rude. I thought you might have been making a joke about the band Blondie. Blondie Chaplin is the South African gentleman with dreadlocks who resembles Keith.

In the event you're not putting me on, I mean Blondie Chaplin, ex-Flame, ex-Beach Boy, and Stones sideman since 1997.

I know Blondie plays acoustic and more recently electric guitar onstage with the Stones and is kept in the background, but certainly not hidden even in professionally edited concert films. How much guitar does he actually play onstage? Reading some posts critical of Keith on here, you'd swear Blondie is playing guitar on every track and mainly electric. Unless my eyes deceived me on the

While Mick may have been aiming more for Don Covay or Marvin Gaye, he sounded a lot like Barry Gibb on Side Two of TATTOO YOU.

The sound is more important, but a good line or two always helps. Simple rhymes (sad-bad-glad) irritate me.

Lionsgate's website shows the original Embassy Pictures artwork from the theatrical release and early video releases. It is standard procedure to do so prior to finalizing DVD artwork. The Amazon link above is likely what Lionsgate came up with in the end for the DVD release.

The extra tracks were the Koch reissue and were two new studio tracks if I recall correctly. I think Bernard sang one and Woody the other. I'd have to dig it out. The live album itself is great playing. The Stones were in great shape at the time and the results can be heard on VOODOO LOUNGE in my opinion. Either way, it's the last true band effort they've released.

I don't think The Kinks had many friends within the music industry, period. The sibling dynamic got in the way of many of their relationships. While Keith has been blunt that Mick Avory was "useless" as a drummer to the Stones, he did note that he had done well with The Kinks. IIRC, ABKCO asked them whether or not they were interested in suing over "Catch Me Now I'm Fa

Seriously, cut Addicted some slack. She made it clear she has been overwhelmed with PM's asking for contact info for Keith. Her initial response was just making sure it wasn't another request she couldn't handle. I don't think she was trying to be rude to anyone - just trying to not have another request she couldn't possibly meet. Unlike me, Addicted isn't even a

I thought I was being funny and it still strikes me as amusing as your post did you, so what's the harm? And yes, I'm quite pleased you made no spelling errors in your two subsequent posts, M

All living Stones guitarists have health issues given their ages and lifestyles. A terrible shame indeed and we're fortunate to still have them with us. The negativity against any of the three of them is even more of a shame.

If the legend is true, Keith hated the Babyface version and Mick agreed it didn't work so they re-cut it with Don Was as a What If "Wild Horses" Had Been Written By The Bee Gees experiment. The phrase "What If 'Wild Horses' Had Been Written By The Bee Gees" is copyright (c) 2010 The Poster Impersonating Rocky Dijon and may not be reproduced in whole or i

For years, I agreed with Keith's comments at the time that the good version was straight blues and that Mick let the Dust Brothers ruin the song. I've since come to appreciate this number as is. I still love both VOODOO LOUNGE and BRIDGES TO BABYLON. For me, those are their late period masterpieces.
