I've read there are only about a few hundred copies of this promotional album and even less for the Decca version. I know a couple that are up for sale on eBay, discogs, etc. I would kill to be able to afford to purchase a copy for my collection!! Anyone here have a copy??

QuoteJordyLicks96 QuoteCongratulations QuoteJordyLicks96 QuotePaddy Could we Have one thread for the singles comparisons? It’s a cool idea if the OP is up for it. Just one thread and announce each week or whatever what singles are up for talking about. I originally did start this up as a new thread but it was then randomly placed here b/c it's Beatles related. As you asked the question,

Quotebakersfield BRIDGES TO BABYLON would be much better with fewer songs, which makes it typical of the band’s later work Remove anybody seen my baby, always suffering and too tight, and you have a pretty solid album. If only the band had taken the same approach a few years earlier, then some of the great songs that made it onto Wandering Spirit and main offender could have graced a full band

Today we look at basically two Beatles numbers...except one covered by the Stones. It's Please Please Me vs I Wanna Be Your Man. Which song is better? Please Please Me / Ask Me Why released on 11 Jan 1963 I Wanna Be Your Man / Stoned released on 1 Nov 1963

Last year, I did something where I put Stones albums up against Beatles albums. Now, I will put the Stones UK Singles up against the Beatles UK Singles. Today we start with The Beatles first single, Love Me Do vs the Stones' first single, Come On. Which song do you think is better? Love Me Do / P.S. I Love You released on 5 Oct 1962 Come On / I Want To Be Loved released 7 Jun 1963

Quotedcba Thank you Santa! This is obviously a very early version of that track, much more primitive than the one released on the "Goat" reissue so I'd would title it "Hide Your Love I" Could it be recorded in Jamaica late'72 or is it the one recorded back in 70 during the SF sessions? (which would mean Nicky plays the piano). Anyway it's a pure gem! A

Interestingly, and this is for the US, the only time a follow up single (or in one case for VOODOO LOUNGE, the 3rd single) came close to or actually charted higher than the lead single were: ENGLAND'S NEWEST HITMAKERS Not Fade Away (#48) Tell Me (#24) 12 X 5 It's All Over Now (#26) Time Is On My Side (#6) IT'S ONLY ROCK 'N ROLL It's Only Rock 'n

QuoteTaylor1 QuoteNashvilleBlues Quotefloodonthepage QuotePalace Revolution 2000 QuoteNashvilleBlues The Stones were peaking all over this release. They have had other peaks, but if El Mo isn’t the epitome of rock n roll, I don’t know what is. We need like a TU type key for IORR site. Quotewiredallnight QuoteJordyLicks96 Quotewiredallnight [...] Where do you have a recording of Crazy Mama from March 4? It's the one that's circulated on bootlegs for years now as an incomplete version. You can find it here starting at [8:40] OK but I think this is also from March 5, not 4 (see also Zentgraf). The vocals are the same. If there are differences (the bootleg v

Quotewiredallnight QuoteJordyLicks96 Ok, call me a crazy mama (no pun intended ) but is the version of Crazy Mama a mix of the March 4th show and March 5th show? Is the version of Crazy Mama from the bootleg the same as the official release? I was just able to hear the LSTNT from the bootleg is different than the official version making it from the March 4th show.

I've only heard the samples but I can already tell that is going to be up there with one of the greatest Stones performances they've ever given. I can't say enough how amazing they sound. By 1977, the Stones had something to prove that they weren't an outdated rock band. These two club gigs were the beginning of their emergence again with SOME GIRLS through TATTOO YOU. They so

QuoteMr. Jimi Just Googled stones elmocombo and searched photos. Saw a pic of jagger with guitar. What song would he had played guitar on with the known set list? And thinking about it he played guitar on fingerprint file in 1975, didn't play any guitar on the 76 tour nor knebworth, I beleive I'm guessing "Crazy Mama."

QuoteTurnerP You're suspecting overdubs? Guess that isn't a bad guess. Maybe whomever sent this to me didn't know what they had or something but the vocals weave in and out so oddly I hardly thought of that especially with what I was told. It almost sounds like a way younger mick is in it but I don't see how that could've been possible. I think I could try asking the sour
