QuoteTaylor1 QuoteNashvilleBlues Quotefloodonthepage QuotePalace Revolution 2000 QuoteNashvilleBlues The Stones were peaking all over this release. They have had other peaks, but if El Mo isn’t the epitome of rock n roll, I don’t know what is. We need like a TU type key for IORR site. Couldn't agree more with your statement "If this isn't the epitome of rock'n roll I don

Quotewiredallnight QuoteJordyLicks96 Quotewiredallnight [...] Where do you have a recording of Crazy Mama from March 4? It's the one that's circulated on bootlegs for years now as an incomplete version. You can find it here starting at [8:40] OK but I think this is also from March 5, not 4 (see also Zentgraf). The vocals are the same. If there are differences (the bootleg v

Quotewiredallnight QuoteJordyLicks96 Ok, call me a crazy mama (no pun intended ) but is the version of Crazy Mama a mix of the March 4th show and March 5th show? I'm listening to them side by side and I'm hearing a lot of similarities and differences: Differences: March 4th he sings "If you don't believe I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna bust your knees with a bullet&quo

I believe these are the confirmed songs played from the first night (obviously from the 4 officially released including Little Red Rooster from LOVE YOU LIVE and 2 from bootlegs): Route 66 Let's Spend The Night Together Crackin' Up Worried About You Dance Little Sister Melody Crazy Mama Luxury Little Red Rooster Around and Around + more orthodox stage numbers

Quoteschwonek Quotehockenheim95 QuoteRobertJohnson Here the complete setlists from both nights: No, this is not the complete setlist. For the first night it even says most likely incomplete in the notes. I also doubt they opened with Route 66. They actually did open with Route 66. Small portion of a story from someone who there both nights. Bottom right, "they kick off with R

Is the version of Crazy Mama from the bootleg the same as the official release? I was just able to hear the LSTNT from the bootleg is different than the official version making it from the March 4th show.

I've only heard the samples but I can already tell that is going to be up there with one of the greatest Stones performances they've ever given. I can't say enough how amazing they sound. By 1977, the Stones had something to prove that they weren't an outdated rock band. These two club gigs were the beginning of their emergence again with SOME GIRLS through TATTOO YOU. They so

Quotedcba Maybe it'll be "March.4 only" tracks? Acc. to Nico the setlist from the 1st night was much longer than the 2nd's. I think you have it mixed up. The first night was shorter and the second night was longer. 15 songs the first night and 20 songs the second night.

QuoteMr. Jimi Just Googled stones elmocombo and searched photos. Saw a pic of jagger with guitar. What song would he had played guitar on with the known set list? And thinking about it he played guitar on fingerprint file in 1975, didn't play any guitar on the 76 tour nor knebworth, I beleive I'm guessing "Crazy Mama."

QuoteTurnerP You're suspecting overdubs? Guess that isn't a bad guess. Maybe whomever sent this to me didn't know what they had or something but the vocals weave in and out so oddly I hardly thought of that especially with what I was told. It almost sounds like a way younger mick is in it but I don't see how that could've been possible. I think I could try asking the sour

QuoteMathijs QuoteJordyLicks96 Interesting how after all of this time, Nico's The Complete Works lists this song as being recorded in March-May 1970 instead of 1969. Anybody know why the recording date might have been changed? Sound wise it fits better to Spring 1970, where they recorded Travelling Man, Stop Breaking Down, the first electric versions of All Down The Line and I'm Going

To me, the two songs have very minimum similarities in the end. I guess the Stones thought people would call them out for ripping off "Heatwave." I think "Built That Way" is original and could have been a great single for them.

What a wonderful groove the whole band is in, would have been a great song If they finished it. Is that Chuck on Piano? "Keep It Cool" is another good one. Quotesf37 I recall reading at some point that the audio used in the video was accidentally chosen instead of the LP version, but the band just stayed with it nonetheless.... There are a few other videos whereby Jagger sings "differently" over the otherwise LP music - Angie (both versions), Fool To Cry, Far Away Eyes and Miss You come to mind. One of the Angie videos is of an early

Between the Buttons vs. Revolver This is another tough one for me. I've listened to Revolver a handful of times and there's something about it that doesn't completely do it for me as a great album like Rubber Soul was. As for Between the Buttons, I think it's a bit weaker than Aftermath but the singles are much better than the singles on Revolver. Between the Buttons wins t

The debut album with the early version of Tell Me would be a great find. Someone has one up on ebay now for about $1500. I'd also love to find the Shelley pressing of Hot Rocks with the alternate versions of Brown Sugar/Wild Horses.
