Quotenocomment A tour in the pipeline? Rolling Stones make rare appearance together sparking rumours of a new project... Much as I wish the romours of a meeting to discuss a tour to be true, isn't this their annual board meeting of major shareholders which they have to have as a Company in order to satisfy their legal obligations? Reluctantly, Chriseganstar

QuoteBraincapers Quotechriseganstar QuoteBraincapers QuoteBraincapers So is Rolling Stoned the same as Stoned? Both are available on Amazon. A decade later, the music business is so dispirited that it no longer waits and wishes for a new Nirvana, let alone a new Beatles. Those of us who created "The Sixties" are now in our sixties and

I always thought that the final O2 cocert was the last ever, with their assorted kids coming on stage and just because it was the last of the 3 nights there. I said to Pam (my long-suffering wife) that night that this could well be the last time we see them. I hope I'm wrong, but if not, I'm glad we were there. That night brought me up to 34 gigs, so whatever happens, I can't com

Well, Radio 2 here in the U.K have been playing "Miracle Worker" every day , 3 or 4 times. It's certainly grown on me and I absolutely love it now. What the hell, this has nothing to do with the "will they, won't they tour" nonsense, this is just a great summer fun record, and what's wrong with that. The video is a scream ! Chris

BUT....the last couple of weeks it's been played 3 or 4 times every day on Radio 2 in the U.K. and, it sure has grown on me. This video I think is a complete hoot, Pam and I both love it. Quotersk45 Everyday on the way to work they have a this day in music history. I do remember them saying sometime in earlier this year that on this day the Stones were on the undercard for the Beatles at a club. I am positive of this because when I got home I told my daughter (Beatles fan) that this occurred on this date. Thanks for that, but if it was a club, it certainly wasn't as a "

Hi, I have been having a debate with my local pub landlord who claims to have seen The Beatles plus The Stones & Roy Orbison all on the same bill in Cardiff in 1963. I thougt I had put the issue to bed by pointing out that the only time this happened (excluding the NME Awards Concert Parties 26th April 1964, 11th April 1965 and May 1st 1966) was September 15th 1963 at the Royal Albert Hall

(to me and 5000 other people) Definitely was at the last O2 gig, he came to the O2 on the Thames Clipper same boat as Pam and myself, very courteous, talking to everyone. I walked into the O2 entrance alongside him. I remember the huge cheer he got when

Sting...saw him at Twickenham (Police) & he hardly said a word to the audience all night. Had a great big walkway either side of the stage that might as well not have been there. Jeff Beck (Brighton, a couple of years ago)...a load of introspective twaddle, never said a word. Great if you're a guitar player (which I am btw) but forget it if you're not. Chris

I remember hearing Clint Eastwood being interviewed on the radio here in the U.K.back in 2008 saying that he thought that the problem was that we'd all been acting like drunken sailors, spending every last cent, and that we'd sober up sometime and straighten out for a while before getting drunk again. Seems like our "leaders" never even sobered up ! Chris

I've read both Stoned (I believe Rolling Stoned is the French version) and 2Stoned, and they are fascinating books. ALO was the most outrageous upfront, confident kid of the 60's and he certainly didn't get his deserved thanks from MPJ at the Stones' induction into the Hall of Fame (Pete Townshend mentioned him in his intro though). He made the whole thing happen, then lost th

QuoteStoneage Picked up Keith's book at the supermarket today at the right price. 39 kronor (about 4 Euro or 5 dollar) in pocket. 523 pages, is it worth the reading thru and thru? Well, I waited until the paperback came out simply because I'd got a signed copy at the Waterstones book-signing in London and didn't want to mark any of the book. The 1st chapter is hilarious, which is

QuoteStoneage I guess what Chris is hinting is that before they announce the tour much of the work is already done. I mean booking venues, hotels, building the stage, organizing the crew etc etc. That is not something you put together in 3-4 months. Thank you, Stoneage. Exactly what I meant. I was involved on the periphery of "Voodoo Lounge" and to get the whole machine up and running

Well, the word on the street, for whatever it's worth, seems to be ignoring that a 2012 Tour would by now have venues allocated, project management in place, set design arranged etc. etc. and be announcing ticket sales. As there seems to be no reliable confirmation from any of the logistical teams that would have to be involved, and we are here talking of hundreds of people, I rest my case.
