I'm almost positive that they are one of many acts, like you mention. I live in Los Angeles and at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, they are having live performances by various acts which are being used as part of the NFL preshow, so it probably leaves room for only 1 Stones song to be mixed in with the performances that are live on tv.

While there may be some truth in this report, some parts of it are just illogical. The statement about the Anaheim show being in terrible straits makes no sense to me. I went onto Ticketmaster the minute this show went on sale and like with most cities, all the best tickets were gone immediately and I was only bringing up seats high in the stands. People were looking on that day to buy good seats

The September 5th release date is for most countries, but there are a couple of countries that always release albums on Fridays. Ireland and Holland go for Friday releases meaning the official release date for A Bigger Bang is Septtmber 2 there. As Northern Ireland is in the UK, it should not be onsale there until Monday. Japan always goes for a Wednesday release and the labels generally release

I have heard that the vinyl LP release date has been pushed back 1 week, at least in the US. As far as the limited edition cd with dvd, Billboard reported that it will be released in November.

I guess they figured they may as well put all the songs on now, as the album is released Wednesday in Japan (with time differences it is already Weds in Japan as I write this) and as a result, all these songs would be on the internet anyway.

JumpingKentFlash, Carnival begins a week after the Stones concert in Rio, so this is not part of the festival. Also, it's Paul McCartney that holds the record for largest attendence at a concert by a single performer (this excludes festivals, thus events like the Stones in Toronto in 2003 are excluded) when he played 2 shows at Maracana in Rio in April 1990. The first concert attracted so

I don't don't if I buy the theory that Keith hates Bill. Perhaps he does, but this past June in L.A., I had Keith sign Bill's Rolling With the Stones book, which was already signed by Bill. In handing it to him, I mentioned it was signed by Bill. he seemed to think that was cool and in signing it he wrote "Love, Keith Richards '05" as opposed to just signing his name

Bjornulf, the 400,000 capacity will certainly accomodate all Stones fans in Rio, but forces everyone else in the country to travel to see the boys. I have a girlfriend and many friends in Sao Paulo who all are dying to see the Stones, but will not travel to Rio to see them, due in large part that they feel allowing 400,000 people to see them for free will bring in the wrong element of people and

They do seem to really be shortchanging South America, which doesn't amke sense when you consider the costs of shipping that stadium stage there for only 3 shows. There is room between Feb 13-16 for 2 shows prior to Rio, hopefully in Sao Paulo, but there is no more room after Buenos Aires for additional shows prior to Mexico City. It seems that the currency crisis in Argentina from 3 years a

Mick has had issues with his voice, which while not life threatening, could perhaps limit his ability to sing. He reportedly has been instructed by doctors to no longer perform 2 nights in a row.

When I met Keith and Don Was outside Ocean Way studios on June 28th, I talked to Don about the new album. I asked if any of the songs came from the 2002 Paris sessions and he said no, that they were all newly written songs. I then asked him if anything would come of those 2002 recordings and he sounded pretty confident when he said that those will come out. I'm not quite sure what to mak

I have met Mick, Keith and Ronnie and when you meet them it is hard to remember all the things you would like to ask them. Each time I was mroe concerned about getting albums signed and getting photos taken with them. It is a very cool experience though meeting these guys.

This will make a good lead off single. I'm one of the 2 fans who Don Was played this song to from his car stereo after the final night of mixing at Ocean Way Studios in L.A. on June 28th, which Bjornulf posted after I emailed him. I cannot remember specific lyrics or whether the song has a sexual meaning, but I think people will be happy with this song. I liked it more than Don't Stop.

Michael Jackson does not own 100% of the copyright on each Lennon-McCartney song, he only owns controlling interest in the catalog, thus he is able to make the decisions on how the songs are leased. McCartney owns at least 25% of every one of those songs, plus he collects his 50% of the songwrtiers royalties on all of those songs. In late 1962, after the Beatles had success with their first s
