QuoteHouseBoyKnows Yes. I posted a similar message on the Sticky HD page yesterday. I've never had a delay like this from Amazon for a major release. Makes me wonder if the demand has been so great that they can't build inventory fast enough. As backup, I ordered from the official RS webstore but I may have to go to a real record shop. HBK I wouldn't even know where to go f

I wonder if those journalists could also see the complete artwork (possibly not) or were only given streaming links.

Dave's singing abilities have certainly aged better than Roger's. As it concerns Roger's "talking", I actually found his version of Stravinsky's and Ramuz's "Soldier's Tale" quite good.

Thanks, Irix! Among the Austrian print media, Oberösterreichisches Volksblatt and News have the same review, apparently taken from the Austrian Press Agency (see below). Kurier and Die Presse also have reviews but I can’t access the respective texts. (Not my day ...) Rolling Stones in good form on "Hackney Diamonds" album by APA - Austria Press Agency On their pa

QuoteIrix Quotedoitywoik Here's a review from Austria newspaper Salzburger Nachrichten ... To close the new album, they put a song of their own in this tradition. "Rolling Stone Blues" ... That's another line that made me smirk ... BTW, thank you Irix for posting the review as text. What was the trick?

QuoteRollingFreak Having said that, thats just me. If there's an audience for it, good for them. There's no reason Roger can't do whatever he wants, he's earned that right. I will never listen to it again, and I'm not going to applaud his efforts just cause he's Roger Waters, but I'm certainly not against it existing if it has its audience and its not erasing th

Here's a review from Austria newspaper Salzburger Nachrichten, full text paywalled but available as jpg. Sorry, it's in German and I don't have a proper OCR software available right now, hence no English translation. Stones tongue on the title page. The reviewer says he was sent a link to the songs that was valid only for a few hours, which means he was not sent an advance CD or

QuoteDoxa I've reading reviews of it already for ages. The consensus seems to be that it is "best since SOME GIRLS". Although one even claimed "since EXILE" and one 'only' (bloody Finnish newspaper) "since VOODOO LOUNGE"... Whatever. Stubborn, omnipotent and egoist as I am, I only trust my very own ears to make any judgments about the bloody thing..

Quote3ddie I really like it till the break when the Gaga starts squealing. The single version that blends it out meet my taste though it leaves out the groovy part with Stevie Wonder's piano - but better not to hear the Gaga. Chanelle Haynes would have been the better choice to sing on this. I know the Gaga is better to adress a bigger - and younger - audience, but hell, in that last two mi

Trying to figure out what Mick said and getting other peoples interpretations was part of the fun! QuoteCJFP Quotedoitywoik If not on Hackney Diamonds, maybe of the follow-up album. I don't think I can mentally handle any more album teasing from this band after the past several years haha Since according to Mick, about two thirds or so are already in the can, it will hopefully take less than 700+ pages in the next new album thread until we get it.
