Is the girl in the video one of The Stones' daughters or granddaughters? That video goes on forever. For as much time as someone put into that video I would have expected a little more.

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl QuoteBungo Anybody know any good Canadian jokes ? Good ones? No, just these. Sorry. Did you hear the joke about the guy who tattooed the map of Canada on his butt? Every time he sits down, Quebec separates. How do you get 50 Canadians out of a swimming pool? Say: Please get out of the swimming pool. A man was strolling along the Beaches area in East Toronto when

QuoteFour Stone Walls Have heard it only once. But it has passed The old grey whistle test'. So will be a (big) hit I think. Not groundbreaking, but will break them to new age. Charlie hasn't added anything to his style 'repertoire' since the eighties, and he's Nealy eight so we wouldn't expect it. But his very simple style does characterise this song and it

It's Nice. Not Great, not Bad....but nice. Sure we could pick it apart, call it derivative, light, filler etc. but I won't. I actually appreciate that they even threw this out there for us self-isolators. This is the way of the future. One of these at least every 6 months is what we IORR'ers need. Thank you Rolling Stones for a marvelous diversion in these shitty times. Peace,

QuoteRockman The Tubes Don't Touch Me with that full on reproduction of that wonderful Jack Nitzsche arrangement ....... Thank you for mentioning The Tubes in this thread. They are one of my very few "bucket list" bands. But to be accurate the song is "Don't Touch Me There".....an absolute masterpiece.

My thoughts on the Stones' performance : I didn't "get" that particular song choice At all. Mick carried the show with a good performance and great hair color. Not sure that Keith was in to this at all. Reminded me of old lip-synch TV performances from the 60's. Ronnie was better than I expected. Charlie definitely air drummed it. For technical reason's I'

Quote2000 LYFH QuotePie1 Can anyone make out what book that is on Keith's coffee-table (or is that a trunk ?) ? The keyboard is the first instrument to come in, I think Mick is playing along to that +drums and bass, Ronnie and Keith are playing to the same with Mick's part added. Yeah the book is - "The Brian Jones contributions to the Rolling Stones (Vol 1)". Vol 2 and

Quotecoffeepotman Many people donate but don't make it a PR event. I'm sure Mick has given. I wouldn't bet my life on that. Mick never struck me as an overly charitable type. Honestly, I can't think of a single documented case of Mick doling out any cash to any charity. I'm sure he thinks supporting several ex-wives and un-productive children is charity enough. And he&

Quotegeorgie48 QuoteDGA35 You're talking about something 60 years ago. At this point, what could the big secret be? Apart from fans on Stones and Beatles boards, I'm sure no one else really cares. Most weren't even born. It's not so much about Stones or Beatles fans (old and young), who would for sure be interested, but you know, I think, (just referring to the article

They're just bored like everyone else. On the bright side maybe they'll have the undisturbed time and focus to write some killer new songs and even improve their guitar playing skills.

"There were actually two shows that day." I'm not convinced of this. I've never heard of Lou ever doing 2 shows in one day. It is my contention that there was only 1 show that day and the two resulting records (RnR Animal and Live) is everything from that show. I can't explain the advert. Maybe management or the record company wanted 2 shows but Lou nixed that idea w

Too many songs and lyrics that are senseless. Girls seem to like him though. Must be that "Sensitive Artist" thing. For me he would have worked out better in the Eagles.

QuoteHairball QuoteIanBillen QuoteHairball There's always the GHS reissue to look forward to, and based on what we know it will be released well before any new album. The fact they're even talking about the GHS reissue is a way to deflect focus away from a new album, and quite frankly, I very much look forward to it (along with the tour), maybe even more so than a new album at this poi

The weather in Austin is spectacular at that time of year. FYI The second problem visitors should consider (the 1st being transport to and from venue ) is lodging. You would think Austin would have plenty of hotel rooms available. The truth is they do not. Most hotels in Austin are sold out in advance on weekends.

It's at least a 9-mile walk at night. So you are looking at 2-3 hours walk That’s nothing compared To Werchter as long as it’s possible. Ex British SAS eh ? Thank you for your service.
