QuoteAlfonz QuoteBungo Quoteflashhh I think the RO performance was crap. Jaggers voice is old and he cant do justice to such a great song. Frankly, it baffles me that so many people think they sound so good, especially people who, like me, have seen them many times going back to the early 70s. Will no one admit that KR and RW simply dont play as well as they used to? That Jagger looks silly and

I blame the WalMartinization of the last few Stones tours to the wives, girlfriends, mistresses and occasional hookers that we hardcore, male Stones fans feel obligated to take to the shows. They wouldn't know a Fender from a Gibson or a great performance from a mediocre performance if it hit them in the ass. Yet Mick continues to pander to the lowest common denominator.

I'm also hoping that when they get a break from this tour that they get into a studio ASAP while they're still "loose and limber" and knock out some new tracks with Taylor. You just know that some good jamming is going on behind the scenes and that new song ideas are gestating and coagulating.

This was gone over quite succinctly in a Rolling Stone interview and article just prior to their Steel Wheels reunion tour. Basically they use a 3 step method. First, they all just listen to the song. Then they all play along with the song. Then they play it by themselves without the CD. It can go quickly or it can go on longer depending on what they're having trouble with. At that time Mick

QuoteRoughJusticeOnYa ...after 15 odd years as a sideliner, seeing the so-called 'Taylorites' discuss both matters of importance ("Mick Taylor!" ) & unimportance ("Mick Taylor!" ) with other people, I hereby proclaim them to be the most uninteresting ànd, at the same time, nerve-wrecking creatures on the planet. Self-indulgent, endlessly repetitive, impossible

OR... it could simply be that Taylor is just a REALLY, REALLY GOOD guitar player. BTW, shout out to Munich and GRNRBITW, lets set up a boozy night in Austin.

OH my God! That was so F-cking funny. Where to begin? The timing on the edits were perfect. Probably didn't have to fool with the Ronnie parts though.

I've been saying it for years, "only Mick Taylor can save this band". And I've finally been proven correct. Like Jesus Christ dying on the cross to save mankind from the burning fires of Hell Mick Taylor's soaring guitar work has saved The Rolling Stones from desecrating their legacy with interminable versions of some of the greatest songs ever recorded. Mick's God-g
