I think the playing relationship is much more competitive between Keith and Mick T. compared with Keith and Ronnie, and it has always been the case, so when Mick T. is on the stage (or on tour with them, not necessarily playing) Keith also tries to play really well, Ronnie and Keith are too good friends and there is no really competitive relationship between them, so this has negative impact on K

Quotegotdablouse Quotestonesfelcher Satisfaction W/ Mick Taylor tonight Show 96 tonight Very different version than in San Jose since Taylor had no soloing this time (admittedly not great in SJ, except the end run) and Keith was back to his long soloing/catwaling but I found it a lot better tonight than in Oakland. Hopefully the next time they can mix both, but at least it seems Tayl

Why the hell Chuck Leavell is so visible in the stage??? He is not a member of the Rolling Stones... He should be located somewhere at the corner of the stage, not at the centre. (so that nobody could really see him) And he should play the real piano, not some keybords. I have never really understood his role in the band. Now it seems he is some kind of conductor of the band, I do

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 I don't think the OP's question is that far fetched. There is an in-between area between M& K kissing each other and the col shoulder. Every musician knows there is much to be said about a good rapport from one guy to another when playing live music. Especially with the Stones and their long colorful history. I think every Stonesfan has to but into the n

QuoteGlammy Great great band. They created some excellent pop songs. The arrangements are always top notch. And though some of their biggest hits are almost 40 years old (Dancing Queen, Knowing You Knowing me, Take a Chance on me, etc., pp.) they still sound fresh and relevant. Their producer, Michael Treptow, who produced and engineered all their songs did a hell of a job and is probably one of

QuoteVT22 QuoteDoxa Yeah, the things are starting to look a bit worrying for our dreams. It is like a Buffalo Bill Wild West Show where they are presenting this freaky character Sitting Bull as a special attraction but with a limited role... - Doxa Dream on. Jagger is the boss, and he's not deaf, and a calculating control freak. If Taylor would have the same sound and fluidity like

For Rollin92: Well put, Keith seems to be playing better than for a long, long time (as exception of course those 2012 concerts), maybe because he is sober... If he would concentrate even more for the playing and less for the posing he could be playing like a rolling stone...

For andrewt: Exactly, it is good that the really good seats are expensive because for hard core fans they are easier to purchase, but if mediocre seats are 450$ or even 600$, that's really poor judgement in pricing.

They could do some shows only for the real fans and drop out Start me up, Brown sugar, Jumping jack flash and those hit songs. Instead, they could play rare songs from Sticky finger, Exile, Goats head and IORR. From the Goats head soup, for example the Winter seems to be very, very popular among real fans. Imagine 22 rear songs in one concert, that would be really something... I'm so tired o

Doxa said it perfectly, this really was the last time the Stones were a really energetic and pure rock band, it would be so great to get the whole concert as a blu-ray movie, I really hope they will release it, I do have the Hampton concert as a quality dvd but these conerts have a different feeling though the Hampton is also a very good concert.
