If they gave scopers preferred spots etc., even I as hards core as I am would consider watching instead of buying a ticket... I Like bouncing around to the different spots in the venue.. it's kinda fun. they could black it out on the continents where the shows are played. Your point is well taken although I doubt there'd be a noticeable impact, for promoters, performers this is an

Quoteeverwest1 crazy fun, scoping is what it is and the broadcasters are heroes but in this late date for the band and all that's available it's a missed opportunity to give the greatest fans in rock a pleasurable, simple experience and broadcast It is silly that volunteers have to step up and do the heavy lifting and battery buying phone holding and buy a ticket. These scopers are

QuoteRollingStonesRob Is Ronnie using the Fender Telecaster black and white checkerboard design like he used in The Birds (UK)?Didn't see it but i did not see every song broadcast. The Tele I was referring to is a butterscotch, perhaps an Esquire single pu but it was not a clear shot. Despite the bad focus I can pretty much say 90% it was a real vintage 50's Fender.

ate to say I totally missed this one tonight I have a few questions for folks who were able to tune in. 1. How was the overall performance? Everybody firing on all cylinders or slow out the gate with a steady warm up? Great energy from the start, potential to be as solid as Zip Code 2. How was She's a Rainbow, Rambler, You Got The Silver and LSTNT? SAR was great with some big guitar c

Thanks Green Lady for the photos. Great time, I have grown less critical about them, just happiness, so nice to hear them play again and break out SAR... On the Periscope side, it's a darn shame that the band doesn't see how lousy quality broadcasts are good for no one... A feed direct from the jumbo screen program would be easy. There's so little time for real rock and roll it

If there's any one lesson I learned from BV and the good folks here that any time The Stones are playing a concert is a time of celebration. 53 years of unparalleled entertainment, it all hits the stage tonight. Here's to an amazing time for all here attending.

The lads have Absolutely ZERO Interest in the rancid tripe that is, regrettably, tossed around all-too-often Here. And all of these supposed "Insiders" with their "Inside Information"? Quotegrzegorz67 Quotecrawdaddy Quotegeordiestone Does anyone know or can confirm that Pete Townsend comments here now and then? Haven't heard from him on here for a while.............but then again not much going on with The Who until the gig at The O2 next month. I'm about 90% sure it is the real Pete. I am too. The gig's actually at Wembley Arena and I'm keen to go a

QuoteMathijs QuoteNaturalust Quotestupidguy2 Question: can you guys explain to me like I'm a five-year old why the early 70s Gibsons are not as coveted? I know there are tech reasons for collectors, but I'm not sure what they mean to me as a player. Because they are hit and miss. There are enough duds out there that they have kind of spoiled the soup and prevented them from gaining a

QuoteRocky Dijon Well, I'm curious if you have any insight. The whole video with the fake Keith appearance always made this one an oddity to me.No I am not aware of a video... Keith's approach as a session guy was such that he'd play some impossibly bad things for many hours, we'd be stupefied but later working with Steve Cropper I found he'd ask for the door closed and h

Worked on the mix for this. Finished the day before "Live Aide". It is a lousy record but fun at the time to be around both singers. Mick overshadowed David in our company, Bowie was a very laid back guy while Mick was himself, he broke out an amazing joint late one afternoon and we all laughed like kids. They showed the video on a big screen in Philly, which was neat. I can't

I was an intern at a radio station and scored tickets from the inside. I think there were 4 nights. I think I went to three then sold the other to a pissed DJ. On the 4th night I got arrested selling bootleg t shirts. Pink had every vender busted that last night, I'm still a little sore at them. My only time in police custody fu*"in' Roger Waters. The energy in the audience was

QuoteHairball Quotecrholmstrom I bought the blu-ray yesterday of "The Wall" concert. It is stunning. Not just a concert film but a document of Roger's journey to visit the graves of his father & grandfather who died in WW1 & WW2. Extremely powerful & emotional. The concert itself is well filmed & the sound is fantastic. I saw Pink Floyd do "The Wall" in 19

Who is the modern day Jimmy Miller? Very hard to say who can achieve respect from the Glimmers. Don Was is aweful. Believe me T Bone ain't the guy, he likes his team of musicians and isn't a band guy. The Stones need a peer, John Paul Jones, Paul Samwell Smith ???... Maybe too many old... Jeff Lynn would continue the slop parade. Probably the most qualified people are posters here at

I would be interested in a Ric Ruben style production like he did with Johnny Cash. Not the cover idea but the seriousness and sparseness Ruben conveys.

QuoteNaturalust QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteNaturalust QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteDoomandGloom Ron Wood. Not just a cheap shot, I believe many other Brit guitarists would have done better. And would probably turned the Stones into a more normal rock band as well. Thank god that didn't happen. Yeah normal as in broken up and a thin of the past. Like him or not you've got to believ
