Holy cow, Keith says new album is done! Can't post link but article quotes Keith as saying it's done. Will a tour feature the new music? Will people react positively? This will be a very telling chain of events as The Stones are brave to compete with their legacy.

The Stones are jamming. More structured than jam bands or previous versions of themselves but jamming nonetheless. From night to night the guitar solos differ, even the mistakes are part of jamming. They are playing for the moment, I have no doubt, still they need structure especially without Bill who went through great lenghts to keep everyone on the same page. When EC, Brad Paisley, Clarke o

Quotewith sssoul QuoteBeast Thank you, Dandie. Any excuse to bash Ronnie, who also invited MT to play with him on other occasions as well. Off the top of my head, I've seen them at the 100 Club quite some time ago at least once, then at Boogie for Stu ... ... where he gave MT his amp when MT was having trouble with his own. Thank you Dandelion dear, and my dear glam Beast. I che

Yes they have an adequate Vegas band with Wood with occasional greatness based on the strength of their unmatched catalog but Wood has often been the weak link, presently he is Keith's caddy, finishing phrases, kissing butt and spreading misinformation while pretending to be Taylor's pal. I never bought that act for a second but desperate Taylor gets played a fool by an experienced man

Quotelatebloomer QuoteDoomandGloom I don't believe this is Mick Taylor himself writing, if it is he's gone bonkers, this is not the stuff for public moaning, he should simply show up at the opening and Dare Keith to put him out. Hard to know whose behind it, but I agree Doom that it's bad PR for both him and the Stones. I don't know what he hopes to accomplish with it, if it

I really expected Mick to play up the historical stuff especially after the show. Instead the band made their music make the statement. First class job from staging, flawlessly generating that much electric is no easy feat, negotiators and road crew. I believe The Stones could play on the moon with this mighty machine.

Good night, enjoyed the tour and all the fans here dedicated to this band. Hats off to all Stones people who made yet another milestone for the legacy. Here's to a safe return home and a well deserved, short vacation. God's speed to BV.

QuoteHomerSimpson Looks like it is a bootleg t-shirt. I think 'proof' of more to come (North America or otherwise) is the new App just released. Why would they bother to release it with 2 dates left on the tour if no future plans were in place to take advantage of it ?no it's official New York Yankee merch. I don't think the Steinbreners would bootleg.

The Stones have officially "Jumped the Shark". Tri state area..... Yankee tee shirt. A series of shows at Yankee Stadium is what's coming.

Quotewhitem8 Stones were always very jealous about Martin and how much better The Beatles records sounded than theirs. Let's face it, Oldham was no producer!I am sure you are correct. Fortunately The Stones hooked up with Jimmy Miller who was as good for them as anyone could be. As far as Oldham's records, never mind, I don't want to be attacked by Jones fanatics.

I don't associate them with being a 'show biz act'.juat semantics my friend. I mean to say they were bigger than rock and roll. The greatest rock and roll band is the Stones.

QuoteBungo I wouldn't call it sad. He was an incredibly successful and highly respected man in every aspect of his life. A real gentleman and humble as well. He lived to 90 years old. We should actually celebrate his life instead of mourning his death. Question : How was George Martin paid for his work with The Beatles? Was he salaried by the record company? Was he paid a negotiated fee p

While they made some of the greatest hippie music which I love, collectivily they are among the biggest hyprocrits of the entire 60's movement. Feeding their ravanous tastes for drugs and decadence on the back of an anti-war movement while brandishing firearms and crack pipes with a sense of entitlement. Crosby born with a silver spoon in his mouth is the most dreadful of the batch. I once

RIP music legend George Martin, a fine gentleman and record producer who defined the job for classic rock. He along with Klaus Voormann and Brian Epstein was among the first to recognize the beginnings of the Beatle phenomena that became the greatest show biz act in history. Martin delivered his artists a full palette of sonic color, encouraged invention and despite his stoic demeanor was a fea

I attended at.least 2 of these shows and hung out and partied in the parking lot for a third. Bill was there on bass which was a plus. There was a large amount of sampling and computer crap which kept the shows from varying. The 2013-2014 Stones are raw and a more faconating experience.

I guess he's happy with the money he made during the anniversary and whatever settlements behind closed doors. If he has a couple of million bucks now that's pretty comfy for a man of his age. Mick can now do as he pleases which is all anyone can ask. He's brought so much joy and inspiration he deserves the best life he can make.Certainly he's under a gag contract.but that

You try it. One of the hardest instruments to play, especially occasionally. Takes great breath control. Certainly the part is more of a tip of the hat to the recording than an issue of execution, just as the entire stage does. In particular Matt and Tim are unsung heroes on that stage.
