I have an ulterior motive, same as a heap of people I guess, in wanting an announcement sooner than later. Living about as far away as possible from the US, being in Perth Australia, I want to book flights as soon as possible to get best fare as possible!! C’mon lads, get out an announcement soon please!

QuoteSilver Dagger QuoteDoxa Some random thoughts about the new album. Still digesting it, and loving every minute. ---- Since it is a natural habit of mind to compare anything novel to familiar things, and with a band having such a huge and long history that one simply cannot ignore, I also allow myself to compare HACKNEY DIAMONDS to their previous albums. There are three albums I fee

QuoteMathijs Quotecimaz Quote24FPS I never play this album. I don't even have a copy in my collection. It's a great single, UCOTN. Too bad it's on this totally meh album. Even Dirty Work is better. Totally agree with this statement. If you don't think tracks like Undercover, She Was Hot, Tie You Up, Too Much Blood, Pretty Beat Up, Too Tough and All The Way Down aren't

This has risen to the top of the pile for me. At any one time one of 8 differing tracks is my “favourite” off this record, but for the time being I just think this is astonishingly great. It belongs on ANY of their classic albums. Dang, this IS a great album. Easily in their top 10. And Rising with a Bullet.

I read on here many, many, MANY pages back, where someone posted that it may be a (good) sign that Hackney Diamonds IS a great album because near on everyone here has differing favourite tracks from it. Myself, I think Sweet Sounds of Heaven to be their greatest individual track in 50 or so years. So much so, that on a list here on IORR, of your favourite 20 individual Stones tracks, to be pos

First bought this on cassette on day of release and vividly remember driving down Barrack St in Perth towards Wellington. Windows down, playing it quite loudly in the car. Got a red light at corner of Hay Street. Someone came over to my stopped car as Undercover the track was playing and asked “who is THAT?” I replied it was the new Rolling Stones album. He was incredulous, and said he was off

QuoteMadMax Quoteloog droog QuoteIrix The CD is cardboard sleeve only: . Vinyl pictures - . Black 7" Vinyl unboxing - . Could this be an AI-designed sleeve? The only bad thing with this masterpiece is the cover. Not much thought went into that one THIS is a masterpiece? Methinks not. It’s a nice listen, GREAT to have a new Lennon vocal, but as a song, a masterpiece? N

Quotegoingmad Totally agree, in my top ten as well. IMHO better than Black and blue, Iorr and ER. I have to say that AT THE MOMENT I’m enjoying this more than anything post- Exile. There’s more to this album that I love than on anything since 1972. So it’s easily in the middle of my top 10. But will it be so after (likely) the shine wears off?

QuoteDoxa Quotekeefriffhards Quotepowerage78 I can't wait to read about all HD's - now non-existent - weaknesses when the next album comes out, as this will justify why the new album is better. As with ABB, which was yet the album of the century at the time. As I've stated a few times a few different ways, ten years from now HD will be looked upon as about even to ABB, what giv

Quotemaumau tried a lot to listen to this, to give it a chance but... no way, it's the track to skip for me. in a record filled with nice hooks and good catchy refrains, this is where they crashed below the par big time, to my earsùwent back to too much blood to feel the funky disco stones again luckily is the first on side B so it is easy to do that when I turn the record on the plate

IF a tour is to start in June 2024, they’ll effectively be touring an 8 month old record. If that’s how they’re going to keep HD bubbling away for 18 months, it’s surely going to have to be a longer tour than just 14 US shows, no? But then I’ve read about getting insurance for a longer tour is not possible. There’s their age. I just struggle to see how it’s a longer tour and how a short tour will

QuoteStonedRambler Quotebitusa2012 Apart from Mess it Up. Still don’t get that! I can’t say I like it just because Charlie’s on it, or because Mick sings it all so well (he does) or because it’s harks back to Miss You/Dance/Emotional Rescue. It’s still just a bad song. I think Mess it up is the best song on the album. Deserves to be the 3rd single. The Spotify streaming counts also speak

After a solid week playing this on vinyl (best), CD and streaming on Apple Music to my buds as I work or in the car, I am just so genuinely thrilled with this release. You know, I was going to say “At their age” or “At this stage of their career”, but truth be told, I would have been so happy with this album 50,40,30,20,10 or 5 years ago. It’s just a bloody, BLOODY good album. Full stop.
