Quotewiredallnight QuoteVoodooLounge13 There's no physical release for Mess It Up, right? Just digitally released and the remix? A promo CDR: (if it is genuine and not a bootleg...) Genre: Electronic It’s why it’s my least favourite on HD - It’s just NOT The Stones !!

Quotehockenheim95 QuoteMuddyw Now let's hope it is mixed decent, like the Mocambo Live, and it won't sound anything like Live Licks or Four Flicks. There is something off on those. I am 99% Sure it'll be the same mix as the BBC Broadcast from 2022. Guitars upfront! Judge yourself: That was NICE

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteVoodooLounge13 Could it be the lack of Charlie?? For me, it just doesn't SOUND like a Stones record. Specifically, it doesn't SOUND like the Stones. I hear Mick singing loud and clear, and it's the best he's sounded since B2B IMHO, but the album lacks the distinctive Stones sound.... I am happy it's doing so well in the charts though!! Very

I might delay my own retirement if… …When working full time BV set up and ran the greatest Rolling Stones fan website in the world.. .. yet in retirement, hasn’t got the time to do so!! Just kidding. This site is a labour of love. It’s the first thing I look at on my phone every morning whilst still in bed, and it’s the last site I go to at night on my phone before turning the light off.

Quotemaumau been pushed away on first listens by the TD replica intro, then I realized that there was much more. A crosseyed heart's song gone stoned love it now Yep this is about right. When I first heard it I didn’t actually “listen” to it apart from the TD intro. But now, living IN it, I absolutely love it. One of The Stones’ greats. Along with Depending on You. That too is just amaz

Quotejahisnotdead It's an excellent song, even slightly underrated imho. It tends to get stuck in my head. I agree. The more I hear this, and I hear it PLENTY, the more I love it. A classic Stones song.

I know Mick and Charlie were the creative forces ( behind stage design at least), signing off on them. I guess Mick signed off on the HD album cover/s. What was he thinking in having a gatefold for the vinyl with ZIP actually IN the inner sleeves? A completely wasted opportunity. ROLLING STONES? We KNOW who the album is from…we didn’t need to open it up to see.. just a silly artistic move.

Re that review. I DO agree that Live by the Sword, my favourite track, along with Depending on You, IS the most Stones-sounding song on the record, and it IS because of the, for want of a better word, FLAT guitars. They’re not pumped up and “processed” like on every other track, where they (the guitars) JUMP OUT at you, NOT sounding like typical Stones guitars. And I do love typical Stones soundi

QuoteHardRiffin Quotetreaclefingers Quotekeef94 Just wanted to see if this blows anyone else's mind too: Steel Wheels was released in the first half of the Rolling Stones' career. Or the fact that Darryl is the Stones longest serving bass player. (just about?) ...without having contributed anything to the sound of the Stones! Yeah, I just don’t get that the, you know, ACTUAL ROLLI

QuoteMisterDDDD Stadium is pretty easy to get to from any of the center strip hotels and south, with the Monorail($6) and/or free hotel trams. The last stop southbound is the MGM, kitty corner from a tram that takes you from the Excalibur to Mandalay Bay, or not too bad a walk if you prefer. Many thanks for that. I might look at a hotel further up the strip then. We’ve stayed at the Bell

Quotedimtim I have 2 Lucky Dips for Vegas will likely stay at Bellagio or Paris as I get comped there. Would be fun to organize a pre-concert get together. Vegas shows are a blast and no driving required. Went to The Joint show at the old Hard Rock and many shows at MGM Grand Garden venue over the years. May is a great time of the year to go to Vegas as the weather is great for pool action.

Quotestargroover I will check out your review there Rod.I was in the balcony.A surprise opening of Midnight Rambler if my memory serves me correct.I also did a review of that show.Cheers! Yep, started with Rambler. No JJF. I could easily read Charlie’s Perspex set list from where I sat (“on stage”!)

Quotestargroover Should be a great trip there for you Rod,enjoy! A few years back I did the Enmore and Sydney shows in a week from the UK. Hope they once again do some shows down under …..a strong chance considering Mick’s relatives out there. I was at Enmore. Right bum cheek on stage for the whole show. Reviewed here on IORR in fact!

Quotestargroover This track is way ahead of Miss you and Dance, and they were great grooves. Love the video too. Really hope they play this live,a kind of Love train treatment on stage. If you don't love this track you need to read adjust your zest for life settings. Please… lads, do NOT play this in Vegas or Seattle, the 2 shows I am flying from PERTH to see. Video suits the song… both are just ok. EASILY my least favourite song on the album (I know the Stones play many genres, but this??? It’s just a really really REALLY poor mash of Dance/Miss You/Emotional Rescue. It honestly sounds like 3 songs all cut and paste together as one).

The FACT that BV has even created this thread, given his seemingly intimate knowledge of The Stones gives me cause for hope! Mentioned to my wife we might see them in Australia and if so we might then cancel the US, And she said “no, regardless, we’re going Stateside. We’ll see them in Australia too”.
