I was a big fan of Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel, playing all their music, and going to their live shows, from back in the 70's, until just a few years ago, at Union Scene in Drammen, Norway 2013.

Also, it was so great to see Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel warming up for The Rolling Stones in Warsaw Poland 2007 and St Petersburg, Russia 2007.

Great band, great performer.

RIP Steve Harley.

Another musician who was in my bucket list, “someday I’ll see him live,” and eventually missed out — sadly for good now. Time waits for no one.

RIP Steve Harley

What tour was that, franzk?

I saw him at The Jazz Club in Camden 1998, which was one of the best shows I have seen.

RIP Steve

RIP indeed. :-(

When "Judy Teen" was released and then the band got to appear on TOTP a then good friend of mine was included as the "pretty girl" acting the rostrum with the band as if she was indeed Judy Teen.

TOTP was pre-recorded, so the next evening we were able to sit in her flat and watch her on TV watching her reaction to being on TOTP. Quite fun. (We then all went off to a Clapton concert at the Hammersmith Odeon).

That particular performance on TOTP is said to have been over-written by the BBC (as was the then normal thing).... but you never know.

So, if anyone ever hears of or sees a video of that original TOTP performance I'd love to hear about it. TIA

I saw him in Warsaw 2007 on the ABB tour. He played also with the Stones a few days later in St. Petersburg.

RIP Steve Harley.

First saw him with Cockney Rebel in 1975 in Edinburgh and a fews concerts after that. Always had a soft spot for him. A fine songwriter, he will be missed.
