I can't stand the anticipation anymore... looks like I will miss out if they come to Quebec on July 18 or 19th as I already have work committments on those dates. Well, maybe I can drive down to Buffalo instead!

I will be away for work July 16-19 (in Calgary). BV, any chance they will come through the area (Ottawa, Toronto or Montreal) before that? Every year I seem to miss the best performers at Ottawa Bluesfest due to work so I hope I won't miss the Stones if they come through these parts of the country again in July! Other than those dates above I would be pretty flexible taking a few days off.

Quotedcba Was he really that good? Apart from "Dead Poets" and "Good Will Hunting" 95% of his output targeted the the 6-12 y.o. population of movie goers. I mean he mainly worked for Disney (yuck!) or Spielberg (who's even worse). Doubtfire is okay but if you consider this one to be a classic you're 8 or you have a problem. And his latest string of film was ve

QuoteBowieStone Quoteschwonek - Steve Tyler from Aerosmith walking by I saw from great distance a man with a hat, dressed in white, acting like a celeb. Was it him? That man in white might have been Thomas Gottschalk, German TV celebrity. I saw a picture of him all in white at the concert somewhere but am too lazy to dig it up now.

Quotelatebloomer So cool to see that they are traveling again with the Stones tongue in place, even if it is facing the wrong direction. Maybe that mean's they'll travel east instead of west. HAH! Yeah, probably because arabic countries read from right to left, haha!

I still love SW as it's the first Stones album that I bought when it was released (I had most of their older albums at that time but DW was only 9 when DW came out). Also, even though a lote here are hating on Rock and a Hard Place I would rather hear that live than YGMR! I would rank their newer albums like this (depending on day and mood, haha): 1. BTB 2. SW 3. VL 4. BB

Quotestonehearted Quoteohotos I just can't get into Dylan, this voice! Always loved this song though, the Hendrix version. I want to try some more Dylan though, where should I start? Maybe start with an album where he was singing with a different voice technique, like Nashville Skyline which yielded the hit Lay Lady Lay, or an album where the songs are so good all the way through that yo

I saw a picture not long ago of Charlie with a Ukulele. Might have been a tweet by Ronnie saying he is giving him lessons. So it seems Charlie is interested in playing stringed instruments.

I was browsing some reviews after seeing The Black Keys in concert a couple days ago when I noticed this: http://www.nme.com/news/the-black-keys--3/71077 Mick Taylor is participating on a track of this new album. Don't know Steven Dale Petit at all but will check this out when it comes out.

Does 100% mean sold out? That would mean that a lot of brokers were sitting on their tickets for Toronto 1, there were quite a few empty seats - maybe sold to brokers... to bad the fans couldn't profit from these seats.

QuoteDandelionPowderman I did, and the sound was excellent. A few times, though, the live mix had a few flaws. Like in the beginning of the choir on YCAGWYW, for instance, when all we heard was the male bass voices (and, boy, did one of them sing off key!) When I watched that I thought I was hearing an audience member singing along, it really was very off-key!

Quotebye bye johnny First $85 drop since Anaheim, and special guest announced two days in advance suggests Montreal ticket sales might be a little soft. The fact that they announced Montreal a couple days after the two Toronto shows probably resulted in a lot of people that would have gone to Montreal to get tickets for Toronto. That's the case for me at least. Still tempted to drive up to
