QuoteTestify Rolling Stones HeartBreaker Heartbreaker is one of my favourite songs and I would have loved to hear it live one day. I just watched the video and must say I didn't love it. Didn't like Ronnie's intro and hated the way Mick is singing it. The whole thing sounds like a bad cover version. Sorry for the negativity. Still looking forward to seeing them in QC next month an

After reading this post I went ahead and listened to some of the remixes out of the Singles Box Set on Spotify, I had never listened to them before and maybe I shouldn't have. 99% of them are really really bad!

QuoteNikkei btw this idea is anything but new. What's new is the suggestion to milk our wallets dry to pool together a six figure sum. You probably meant seven figures! I would be in for $1K in NY... not that this is ever happening.

I had a suspicion that onlystones is only a marketing plot... sorry onlystones if I am wrong. If you are real can you show some proof? I wouldn't be surprised if there are huge Stones fans out there that just buy their way into whatever they want though.

Calling them one percenters was just a quick way for me to identify the guests as some called them that further up in the thread, sorry if I offended you. Sure, some heads might roll after this "breach" but all this security theater in the US is way overblown.

Wellalright, what if one of the invited guests was a deranged psycho, do you think they frisked all those one percenters?

I would pledge $1000 if this would happen in NY. Not a millionaire here who can spend big dough for one evening.

It seems like everyone on here would love to have the Stones play a private gig just for them and friends if they could afford it. However when a rich (probably Fan) actually does it it's somehow not OK?

What a letdown, after hyping up Periscope and promoting "Rolling Stones all day" they do like 3 seconds of shaky pre-show backstage and that's it? Imagine the promotion for the tour this could have been if only they would have streamed 30 seconds or so from each song on the setlist.

Nothing on Periscope and they seem to have completely forgotten the supposed liveblog. Getting tired here.

Quote3DTeafoe Where is this from? The Quebec postal code is definitely nowhere near the concert, I think it should be G1R 2L3.

Quotelittle queenie also, i heard just because you have a pass, doesn't guarantee access...anyone else hear or read that? Yes, apparently they can restrict access to the site if it's too full already, for security reasons. This is probably a result of having a single pass for the whole festival, they can't really know for sure how many passholders will show up on a given day.

Quoteexhpart Digressing slightly: anyone got a concert they wanted to go to but didn't and regretted it mightily? Mine is Bowie. Was going to go to Leicester De Montford Hall to see him...this would have been 73 and the height of Ziggy Stardust. I'm 14 years old and it's a 12 mile train ride and no-one wanted to come with me. It's a school night and none of my friends are up f

I don't think Chris means opening acts but special guests on stage with the Stones.

Does anyone know if the plains will be open the whole day? Can you just walk in in the morning and wait until showtime in the evening or is the whole area fenced off with doors opening at a certain time? I seem to remember having seen that doors open at 7pm but can't find that info anymore. It doesn't look like other bands will be playing on that stage the same day.

Quotelittle queenie Anyone know anything about the VIP tickets (how to get them?) I may be going with a friend who suffers from MS and he wants it to be easy....I don't see how to order the VIP section The front stage zone cards seem to be sold out according to the festival's website.

Yeah MisterDDDD, I actually hope that they're going to mix up the setlist a bit for this one. Like Glastonbury because it is a festival setting. Hoping for something like 2000 Light Years from Home or some other gem. I don't even mind if they would play only 18 songs or so as long as they mix it up a bit and rock!

QC thread down on the third page? I have to bump this up. Can't believe that there's not much talk on what seems to be the last NA show for now. And the cheapest possibility to get a shot at front row (if you're willing to wait in the heat). Looks like this is far from being sold out so far.

Quoteschillid Quoteohotos I think the postal (zip) code for the QC show should rather be G1R 2L3, which seems to be for the Plains of Abraham, the actual concert site. Can someone confirm thta? I mean I could be wrong but it seems like the one on the map is just taken from the address of one of the indoor venues of the festival.

QuoteMisterDDDD Anyone have any information on pre-sales?? Looks like one is happening on the 8th, but not sure how to get in on. There is a become a member option, someone was saying... and I'd be curious how many general admission tickets they sell... if they even could sell out on a presale.. The festival organizers replied to my question about this on their Facebook page, the pre

I'm surprised there isn't more activity on this QC thread. After all it looks like this could potentially be the last North American show for now. - well, they will probably do some limited NY shows later that are unattainable for mere mortals!

The names of those songs sound so stupid! Probably all some leftover Jagger solo stuff.

QuoteSomeTorontoGirl So... There are no specific event tix for the Stones, you buy a pass for the whole festival? I won't complain at $88 CAD (which is probably something like USD $9.99 now) even though I'll go only for that one day.

Just got a very cheap hotel room at a 10 minute walking distance from the concert site, just in case I'll be too tired to drive back to Montreal after the show. So am I right in assuming that even the cheap festival ticket holders will get a chance to be FOS similar to what was done at Hyde Park?
