Many thanks for the info. and help Buffalo7478. Greatly appreciated. Being in Boston, Buffalo is looking like the road trip for me (one of them anyway). I have a buddy in Albany, and the plan is to pick him up and then make our way. I have a reservation at the Town Place Suites near the Buffalo airport (I'm a 'Marriott guy') and I know it's a bit of a ways away. Anyway -

At 2:55 EST on Tues., iTunes US is not showing the Super Deluxe (at least not that I can see), and amazon in US just showed it as pre-order for $300!

After the fiasco last summer of having VIP soundcheck tix only to have Boston being cancelled at the last minute after friggin Dusty hurts his hip - I am totally psyched to have Front Row (!) to the Boston Orpheum in a few weeks. Can't wait - fingers crossed for better luck this time! (Just Jeff this time, so that narrows the potential misshaps).

I was embarrassed that I had never heard of her until a couple years ago watching some Women Who Rock thing I think on PBS, and they showed a clip of her (I think the 'Didn't It Rain' at the train tracks clip- AWESOME) and I was like "who is that??" Watch that clip and tell me you don't see some of Keith's (and just about any other guitarist) moves there! And y

I picked up the package here in the US (at a New Hampshire State Liquor store) a month or so ago, on sale for $50. It's a nice package - haven't listened to the CD yet, or opened the vodka. Cool tongue bottle stopper included. If you can find it for short money, I'd say it's worth getting.

DoomAnd Gloom - several of the shows sound less than ideal. I have fond memories of seeing them outdoors in Phili in '81. But like us all - I was a much younger guy then. I was at Hyde Park 1 two summers ago, and it was one of my least favorite Stones shows (granted, I had just been in the Tongue Pit in Boston, trying to get a high-5, or a guitar pic a few weeks earlier). Indy Speedtrack,

I'll chime in. First off, I'm excited that they are coming back and hoping to catch at least one show. I'm not especially thrilled with the (expected) schedule though. Other than San Diego and perhaps Quebec City, I can't say there's one city where I go "wow, I'm going there!" Although I'm sure they are all fine cities. (How about Vegas. NEW ORLEANS

Sir Paul is now playing Japan until April 27th - can't imagine him making it back for NOLA on May 3rd, but would love to be proven wrong.

Like I said - I think U2 is a long shot. I can't imagine them playing a couple weeks before their tour starts at a big festival like this - without their big stage set up. And if you've been keeping up with Bono's recent troubles, it seems like he is having a really hard time recovering from his bike accident, so I just don't imagine them doing something earlier than Vancouv

The TBA for NOLA JazzFest on Sun. May 3rd is interesting. As much as we all hope it 'might' be the Stones, my original thought was it will probably be like the Foo Fighters, or Taylor Swift or something. So then in looking at Pollstar to see what other big act it could be, yields the following. AC/DC - play the Netherlands on 5/5 so they're out. Taylor Swift is in Tokyo, so thank

New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival (aka JazzFest) lineup is to be announced Monday (1/12). I could totally see the Stones playing it - but I'm certainly not counting on it. Looks like the Who are down in the area those 2 weeks though, so that's a real possibility!

I mentioned New Orleans JazzFest, and Bonnaroo in TN is the other big US festival.

I'm wondering if there is any chance of the Stones playing New Orleans Jazz Fest? That happens to be the 2 weekends (last weekend in April, 1st of May)prior to Rock in Rio in Vegas. I'm guessing it's a long shot and I have NO knowledge or have not even heard any rumors of the sort - but that DOES get a huge crowd, and has booked big acts aplenty (Bruce for starters -almost any act

I'd rank the 6 I saw like this: 1. Boston #2 - Finally got to take my daughter to see the Stones and about 5 songs in we got (quite unexpectedly) upgraded to the Tongue pit. So that might qualify as one of the greatest nights of my life. Walking down front as the band is ripping up As the Whip Comes Down... 2. Newark #2. - 1st show of this go 'round so there was that excitement - p

Shadooby - if you're a Lucinda W. fan, it's well worth checking out. She has always done quality work but some of her stuff can drag a bit. She somehow really raised her game on this one IMO - and obviously a few folks here agree.

Glad to see all the comments on Lucinda Williams Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone. Truly top notch - arguably her best effort to date. Some very cool songs on that double disc - especially the first one. I'm loving the new Bryan Ferry Avonmore - the title track in particular is killer. The 'new' Pink Floyd was disappointing to these ears on the 1st couple of listens (I foun

I have no DEsire to see the movie of someone playing James Brown. BUT, the Mr. Dynamite, the Rise of James Brown thing that's on HBO that Mick also produced is - well, dynamite. You can almost forget how amazing Brown was. There are some stunning clips of JB in action - awesome stuff.

Another vote for Silver Train. I was gutted not to get it in Macau (Got GOMC instead- again!). I have heard the version they did in Tokyo and it's awesome - can't believe they only did it the one time! (So far). Sometimes they do these 'dream songs' and they can come off a bit tentative (Sway being an example IMO) - but from the Japan version I heard, it was smoking full st

Watched the 81 Hampton DVD last night. It is SO good. My 1st time seeing them was 81 I caught the 'big' show in Phili and Syracuse Carreier Dome, and this arena set up in Hartford - so this DVD takes me right back. They truly rock out on this - a real treasure and pleasure. A must have IMHO.
