I found this on an Italian guitar site: could be useful if you want to replace the pu on your fender and you don't know what to choose. It does not matter if you don't understand Italian. The guy who posted the article made a comparison between the main pu available for a stratocaster JASON LOLLAR, HARMONIC DESIGN, KINMAN, FENDER, JOE BARDEN, TOM ANDERSON, and recorded a short demo

"Hate It When You Leave"!!! That chord progression! I could go on playing it for hours and hours ... Agree: it's one of the best by K (and even better live!) C

Was Jagger serious when he sang BSG? I don't think so. I gave a listen to it yesterday: well done and played, but it is a slow number very much in the early Who's fashion - bad guys singing gentle music. I think they all had a loud laugh when they finished recording it (and even louder after recording Lady jane!) C

I don't know who started it, but since 2002 concerts (all of them) are extremely expensive. Here in Italy 35 euros minimum for a 1 hour-set (plus encore) from the avarage band in an odd venue with shitty acoustics is, unfortunately, customary. Whenever a big name hits Milano, he also hist you on your head with prices starting from 45 euros. The same for classic music, by the way. In th

bruno, thanks for crediting me as "guitar expert"! The official version about these guitars has already circulated on this board, mainly thanks to Mathijs. But, if you can keep a secret, I'll tell you that all those axes belong to my personal collection and every now and then Ron or Keef asked me for some "bad" stuff to complete their posing image while on stag

I don't get the point, in the review and in most of your comments. It makes me feel good to read every now and then some bad reviews of the big names' stuff. It's a free world and if Mr. Wilde thinks that LL is a crap cd, he has all the rights in the world to say it! Still I don't agree with what he writes. LL is not the Stones best live album. True. It is also tru

I have never seen a cover band truly take it too seriously. Most of the times its just people having fun with the music they love. They don't want to be the real thing. It's like acting Humphrey Bogart when dating a chick ... A part from that it is almost impossible to keep your left hand on the neck and not to kick when the air you play the open G of BS at max volume! C

I can't keep my guitar too low (a la Jimmy Page) because I often use quite extended fingerings - therefore I have to keep my wrist loose and my thumb in "classic guitar" position. This way it is also easier to play with the slide (and this is why rw kept it higher in the 70s). Re "cool looks": I agree - there is not a rule, it depends from person to person and from g
