He has pretty many songs on that list for being such a louzy voice..take a look at Beatles where George Harrison had the similiar bunch of numbers with the group...and Harrison had a beautiful voice...

With Sssoul, I think we need you on this thread... ;-)
It can be simply perfect (before they make me run) or only wonderful (silver, happy etc.) but at times it is sleepy (coming down again) embarrassing (eileen, nearness of you) bad (gimmie shelter live) or, is he singing or what? (barbarians tour)
~*YEAH!*~ i love that phase of Keith's vocals - all wild & muscular & (as Otonneau recently put it) wolf-like, so musical and such an outrage at the same time - no one else ever sounded like that. it's hot stuff (can't get enough!)
and you know sometimes if you don't get what he's doin ... listen to the way his singing voice and his guitar voice intertwine

Keef can't sing a lick...that's one of the things that makes him so great. Oh, he's had his moments(Comin Down Again comes immediately to mind), but we love his singing because he is KEEF...the MAN!..only HE can get away with the voice he has...
I fugure 85% of all people jumpin on Keith for his louzy etc etc voic have not heard his contribution at Toots Hibbert's Careless Ethiopians from 2004... One o the absolute best reggae vocal (halleluyah) moments made on planet earth (or slightly above it)...
I think he sings beautifully when he's not completely wasted. There is some stuff that is clearly out of his range, but on the slow ballads (Slipping Away, The Worst, This Place Is Empty, How Can I Stop, etc.) there is nobody I have heard who is quite as soulful and expressive.
