QuoteRank Stranger This was posted here long time ago by UrbanSteel and bigtyke66: GigaSize links are still okay! I have several copies of the Altamont concert on various CDs & LPs and the copy posted/made by UrbanSteel & bigtyke66 is easily my favorite.

The only Jeff Beck album I have listened to is Blow by Blow, which is really good IMHO. Sounds like I should try listening to some of his other albums. Maybe his official bootlegs? Any suggestions?

Why not the Rolling Stones AND Lady Gaga? Maybe Mick & Lady Gaga could do a duet, like he did with Fergie.

Quote71Tele Not lead guitar playing, just Rolling Stones guitar playing. I have seen many shows where Ronnie was "ok", "adequate", "not as bad as I expected" or even "good", but in my opinion he has never "shone" with this band. For that you need to go back to the Faces. I think I saw a copy of Plynth on eBay earlier . . . .

Quotestupidguy2 Anybody find Clapton too busy? . . . The Clapton song, "Good To Me As I Am to You" is a slow, Mabel John-style blues number...from the opening chords to the fadeout, Clapton is all over the place - never stops playing and almost drowns out the other musicians and completely drowns out Aretha's piano, one of the best things about the song. There is no room for anyone

QuoteGazza QuoteMILKYWAY I think they will keep going until one of them dies. No farewell tour. 'Keep going' ?? How could anyone tell the difference at the minute? Keep the image that they are still a band going until . . . .

QuoteTitle5Take1 QuoteSwayStones U2 were obviously so impressed by the Stones's fiscal arrangements that the Irish rock band now share the group's Dutch financial director, Jan Favie. Brings to mind all the criticism U2 got for their "Live 8" concert they spearheaded for the West to forgive billions in African debt (billions got largely from the pockets of Western tax payers)

Meh, I like them both. Depends on my mood. Do lyrics really have to be deep & thought provoking for a song to be enjoyable?
