I won't tell you where my tattoo is located, but in some circumstances it says, "Ladies", and in other circumstances, it says "Ladies and Gentlemen would you welcome please, THE ROLLING STONES!!!!" and then the sound of cheering.

my very first 'new' post, so keep the insults to a dull roar. As much as I've wanted to buy super deluxed exile, I've refrained because I think the price is ludicrous for what you get. The Ya-Ya's super deluxe was priced at 50% of the EXILE super deluxe, and you received 3 vinyl LP's (including the new cuts), 3 CD's, a DVD and a book. this, compared to

QuoteCindyC Suicide by drowning is not an easy feat either. Do you think he's implying that Brian, sorry, Mick committed suicide because they didn't give him a leaf on his flower? Everyone else got a leaf, why didn't he? No wonder he was so paranoid - that would set me off too. I never gave those conspiracy theorists much thought before, but now - I'm changing my mi

For me anyway, that is the difference between Stones music and Beatles music. Beatles music is generally much more accessible from the get go, but then I tire of it quickly. Stones music takes a lot of listens sometimes but I don't generally get tired of it. (some possible exceptions, Start Me Up, Brown Sugar, Satisfaction...mainly because they are just so overplayed).

Super Deluxe edition looks nice...very weighty! I just came back from HMV, where they had 5 copies, $160. The store was playing Sweet Black Angel, in between a Lady Ga-Ga song, and something I didn't recognize. I'm waiting for my Amazon Deluxe order and Vinyl...I'll have to be patient!

Quoteboston2006 I don't know about others here but I think I have very high expectations whenever a new LP is released and always am a bit disappointed . In general I need a few listens to warm up to the new releases . No matter the decade in which they were put out . Totally agree...when I bought Tattoo you, I was SO disappointed with side two...first time I listened to it and liked i

QuoteShawn20 When interviewing Paul and Ringo, Larry King referred to Ringo as George. The sad thing was he tried to get out of it, but Paul nailed him on the obvious gaff. Watching Larry King is painful. Quite the contrary...I'm going to enjoy this. It should be unintentionally hysterical!

QuoteStonesTod Quotekleermaker QuoteStonesTod i think he's lost his instincts as a singer...the quality of his voice isn't the issue for me....his 2010 instincts don't JIBE with 40-year-old tracks.... Finally we come to the right conclusion: it's not Mick's voice, but his way of (mis)using it, his overacting. He's doing things that he shouldn't do or should do

Love the song...I don't see the exile fit personally. Love Undercover...for me, the last great album...I find it highly underrated, particularly 'Undercover of the Night'.

QuoteStonesTod Quote71Tele Agree with skip here. Chuck is just the wrong style for the Stones. No edge. He plods and plinks. he plays big fat boring midrange chords like a piano teacher, when they need someone who can give you that shiver up your spine with bluesy runs way up at the top. Plus he doesn't even play a real piano. This is the Rolling Stones, not a gig at the Holiday Inn. They ne

Quoteshortfatfanny Quotestonesseventytwo I totally agree with rssr. This "re-release" is some kind of anachronistic BS. Even Keith was opposed to "painting a new smile on the Mona Lisa" as he put it. The people who like this obvioulsy are too young to have lived through the original Exile. Yeah, the evil curse of the late birth...blessed are those who breathed the original Ex

QuoteStonesTod Quoteghostryder13 expecting a man near 70 to sing like he did when he was 28 is ridiculous. precisely, which is why his grafting new vox on songs from 40 years ago is ridiculous. ST, sounds like you'd much prefer "ABB II - The Wrath of Bill Wyman"
