Quotestones78 QuoteSweetThing Quotestones78 I don't get it about Ronnie "looking like a Stone"...if all you're gonna care about is looks, Ronnie looks like a poor copy of Keith Richards. Actually that might be the other way around these days. You mean Keith now looks like a copy of Ronnie? Well, yes, in a way. I happen to agree with those who observe that Ronnie &

I could be mistaken, but I was pretty sure I read Bill's comments in Stone Alone, as Amsterdamned seemingly seems to recall reading them as well. Bill goes on to state, perhaps in another passage, that he would contribute an idea to a part (arrangement?) of a song, and shortly after it being adapted, he might say something to Mick Jagger along the lines of "wasn't it good I su

Actually that might be the other way around these days. As an aside, while Bill Wyman, among others, did credit Ronnie Wood for making the band fun again, and by implication keeping it together, Wyman also expressed

QuoteMathijs Ventilator Blues and Black Limo plainly show that if you have a great riff or idea that becomes part of the body of a song it will be taken up by Jagger and Richards you get credit, simple as that. Mathijs I am not sure it is that simple. Bill Wyman didn't get credit for Jumping Jack Flash did he? Tom

As I recall, Elton responded that Keith was responsible for "holding back" Mick. (and the Stones?). That all Keith was listening to was Otis Redding. Also, said, something like "look at him , he looks like an ape." After that, Keith seemed to get angry at interviewers/press that tried to keep the feud going by asking him to respond. T

Well, if the arthritis is that much of an issue, then perhaps Keith can be the "special guest" at a few select shows. Do the tour with Ronnie and Mick Taylor. (and Bill Wyman if possible.) It'll sound fine.

I think it would be much better if the Stones just hired Mick Taylor or David Gilmour instead.

If Paul's not doing anything, maybe he should play bass on the next Stones album and tour. T

Well, I think the years are catching up to them and for a tour to work, and be interesting to them and to the stones fan, (do something different) they ought to make a couple of radical changes - Play a bit of Ronnie, Mick's and Keith's solo stuff - as a band. Let Ronnie start with "I can Feel the Fire" "Breathe on Me" or "Seven Days", and go event

Well, sometime during the interviews for the re-issue for Exile Jagger, when asked about Mick Taylor or Bill Wyman joining up with the Stones again, gave the tepid response of words to the effect of it would be "interesting" but "not sure if the rest of the band would like that idea" or not. Well, judging by the performance, (not 100% conclusive of the actual question pose

I really felt VL was their best since Tattoo You. Apparently I am in the minority there. ABB was the worst I thought.. only thing I found good was "Rain Fall Down". One thing to consider looking at their later part of the legacy is that Mick and Keith put good effort (and sometimes got good results) from all those solo projects.. what is it now.. 2 for Keith and 4 for Jagger?
