Elvis's 1970's tours should have foretold the future nostalgia tours. Demand was almost limitless - most arenas were 2 shows a night, and ticket prices were roughly twice your average concert while I don't think he had much new material. So if you want to gross on top of shows played and tickets sold, Elvis might be the contender. There was no Pollstar magazine in the 1970

"I myself am not convinced they aren't still doing the phony reseller manipulation." Except there are plenty of real resales when they can just sell their own tickets as platinums, which are often priced directly off the resale feed. You can usually find the exact same resale seats on all sites (though TM has their own point of sale service, they don't get fees when tickets

Quoterlj1010 I only attended Miami 1994, the one from the PPV, and I recall it being a sellout. Never occurred to me that ticket sales were soft elsewhere. Most glaringly and considering it was the 2nd and 3rd stops might have induced a bit of panic at the office. Birmingham, AL 19,893 compared to 55,169 / 55,169 for Pink Floyd or 63,523 / 63,523 for Steel Wheels tour Indianapolis 22,

QuoteNashvilleBlues QuoteDan QuotePaddy Why Pearl Jam weren’t listened to back in 94-95 I’ll never know… And 40 years of crying about ticket prices, why didn't consumers just speak with their wallets? That would be 30 years. And as much as I love Pearl Jam and their stances on most things (including fighting TM), you’re right. It’d be cool to see what would happen if we all stopped buyin

QuoteJbeckerfan I feel like over the years on this forum and other places, there have been remarks over empty seats specifically on this tour. It's not like every show the band have played in the last 35 years has been a sellout, nor should it be expected to be. But in the grand scheme, was Voodoo Lounge considered a misstep as a tour? Has Michael Cohl or the band ever eluded to such? Wi

QuoteTopi What's interesting is that they seem to have changed the Platinum tickets that were being sold in the presales to Standard tickets. Is that the algorithm talking due to slower sales? Absolutely. There is some human involvement but Platinum tickets are also directly priced off the resale feed. Even if the show isn't resale enabled, Ticketmaster+ is still getting the feed

QuoteGAFF QuoteJMoisica If you only had money for one of the shows at SoFi in LA, which one would you go for? Thanks in advance for any insight! It's a toss up, really. As LA, like NJ and Chicago, is a two show market, one show will get Miss You and the other will get Midnight Rambler. It's anyone's guess which show will have the "better" set list. And it's 2nd o

Nothing aside from Morgan Wallen seems to be selling well there either. If Luke Bryan and Chris Stapleton are still hot, there sure are a lot of tickets left.

QuoteChristiaan Ticketmaster is hacked! This seems to be not good at all. We all have tickets and our personal information at this organization. I was wondering if this also was already affected the sale of the new added concert in Thunder Ridge Nature Arena? I found it really easy to buy tickets. It is still easy to buy tickets for that concert. Completely opposite to all the pre-sales of t

QuoteRSbestbandever QuoteDan QuoteRSbestbandever I knew my chances were slim in getting tickets as over 4900 people were in line before I got the chance to even look at what was available. Thank goodness my wife was on her phone at work and somehow was able to get tickets in section 15 so we will be there. Also will try to get LD tickets for family if possible. “CTF believes that measures to restrict access to ticketing will create a black market with more transactions driven underground, removing customer security; reduce the availability of tickets to fans; and create further monopolies for vested interests which will see prices driven up for fans.” I agree with this 100%

Just lawn tickets are so far beyond what I would pay for any concert not even considering I hate lawn. But I also have my heart set on visiting Adventure Park and seeing Yakov Smirnov so wonder if I should, as always, just forge ahead and worry about the ticket later. The fact that almost no one I know is even interested in going may be an indication that the show could still bomb.

They were always going to end the tour in a place that already has a fixed stage (after the stadium stage is sent back). I was afraid it was going to be the Sphere or another casino.

Quotecyclist Quotesnoopy2 Yeah this looks pretty brutal. Traffic was so bad some people couldn't make the concert in time? 2 hours to wait for the shuttle bus to the parking lot? Interesting to see what tickets will cost, since this is remote and not a very wealthy demographic. Second hand market might be the way to go... I need to make sure I can figure out all the other details so

Quoteretired_dog Quotedaspyknows QuoteU2Stonesfan I wonder why nobody has released a recording yet except Dan and Daspyknows friend?? Any guesses? Tapers have been at every show. Uuuh, tough question. Maybe their recordings did not sound good enough and distributing them could hurt the respective tapers' status in the taping scene. Maybe tapers got caught by security. Quoteschwonek They have huge screens at Sofi but last time the Stones did not use them. Let's wait for the stage set up to see more. If you are talking about the screens built above the upper deck, they belong to the stadium and they charge to use them. So far I think only Taylor Swift paid.
