QuoteGasLightStreet I haven't looked around in a while but I'm going to guess that, based on what I have read with the possibility of the Stones touring NA again that they will NOT perform at the 2020 New Orleans Jazz Fest because, no matter how it's viewed, JF and fans got burned by what happened. They can deal with The Who this time around with the all very likely possible lu

QuoteHouseBoyKnows The Truckers often cover Stones songs in their set. I have a recording of a Patterson Hood solo show where he covered Star Star, Loving Cup, Silver Train, BTMMR, Moonlight Mile and Shattered. Stones fams should embrace this band. HBK We have plenty of Stones cover bands here in L.A.

Quoteumakmehrd I just don't see stadiums being realistic... unless there is a big headliner that was already suggested - GnR or Metallica maybe Van Halen ? A summer thing like the old US festivals It's absolutely going to be in stadiums. Either band fills arenas on it's own and Poison does pretty good large & midsize venue business as well as a decent go to opener. Ever

QuoteRollingFreak Its funny even just on the level of Motley Crue and Def Leppard being a stadium draw in 2020. I like and enjoy both of those bands, but I can't imagine how you drum up even an ounce of interest in that. The concert business is such a hilarious struggle these days, I'm happy to sit back with popcorn and watch it all go down. I can't imagine this being in anything

QuoteHairball Lars is an idiot - I remember all the disparaging remarks he made about the Stones like a little girl. I was at that show, but was prepartying with friends at a nearby bar and intentionally missed Metallica. I recall after the show a bunch of youngsters were boldly claiming "Metallica blew the Stones away", and maybe for them it was true, but they were probably big M

This is great! Only complaint is they could have used more crowd shots as that's what differentiates Argentina shows from anywhere else. If they filmed them all, just release them all in a box set or something. Including 1995/2006/2016 shows.

QuoteElmo Lewis How does one score these discounted "papered show" tickets? Sign up for Groupon and Goldstar. Also every May Live Nation does National Concert Week with loads of $20 all in tickets, usually lawn tickets but sometimes theatre, club, arena shows. I will spend like $500 in 20 minutes grabbing tix to everything local.

These are standard Live Nation prices but remember, the last several years every May they would have "National Concert Week" with loads of all-in $20 tickets. Seems like this tour was booked with selling beer and nachos in mind.

Canada minimum 4 shows. That's just opinion so don't go calling it a rumor on the next page.

QuoteSend It To me QuoteTurningToGold2 Quotejumpontopofmebaby Kansas City will not happen. Tickets did not sell well at all on the Zip Code Tour. Thousands of seats were available just a few days before the show. Floor seats in the first five rows were going for $225 each. They sold every other row in some of the lower sections to make it seem more full. I would not count on Kansa

QuoteHairball Sounds like you think an Aloha Stadium show is unlikely for you, but none of the reasons you mention would hold any sway to whether the Stones play there or not. Yes it's outside of Waikiki (apprx. ten miles only) with not many decent hotel options in the immediate vicinity (if any), and it's not in the best/most scenic area of Oahu, but it's the largest stadium

QuoteTravman87 Hey everyone What is the situation regarding a potential end of tour show in London? Is that still a rumour?? I'd love to see the Stones live here again. Seen them 7 times already but just can't get enough of this incredible band. Is Wembley stadium a possibly? Can't believe Mick and the boys have not been there since it re-opened 12 years ago It's not e

I've heard of the greed thing turned backwards as in "if there's this many people willing to pay this much money to see you, it's your duty to perform for them."

QuoteRocky Dijon QuoteDan Well, the brothers don't owe him anything. So, what does he owe them? He owes the Robinson brothers the fact that anyone would even interview him or see him play with another band. He owes them a career. That career is over Quote He owes Black Crowes fans everything and really shouldn't try to turn them against the guys who wrote everything and sang ev

QuoteRocky Dijon A pity Gorman is going the route of airing all the dirty laundry. Sure, it makes for fascinating reading, but it just paints him in a worse light when all is said and done. Could hardly blame the Robinsons for wanting everyone onstage to sign NDAs as employees after the way he behaved. As it is, it just reads as if he's trying to poison the well water for Crowes fans to make

Quotekeefriffhard4life well in the 1990's the crowes sold over 10 million albums and singles in the usa. what were the sales of the new page projects in the 90's? maybe 4 million max? the band by that point was coming off a string of hit albums and singles when they were touring with page Seems to me they were one hit wonders who successfully transitioned to "jam band" to pi

Quotejumpontopofmebaby In Kansas City on the Zip Code Tour there were Thousands of tickets available a few days before the show. Floor seats a few rows back were like cheeeeeaaaaaap. I don't think KC would be an option this time around. They can do a few repeat markets too. LA new stadium is already booking acts - Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift. As of now the stadium is it's

Quotebigmac7895 Terrible band? I think the best band to come out in the last 30 years. If Mick ever did a solo tour, he should hire the Crowes- they do the Stones as good as they were back in the 70s. I guess a halfway decent Stones cover band would generate some excitement around here.

Of course my own attitude has loosened up a bit since we are just buried under content (true crime and history podcasts/YouTube doscs threaten to edge out music here) and also pretty soon just about anybody who cares will be dead.

I am almost positive XAVEL records a lot of the content it distributes hence the prevalence of Japanese shows. Right now enjoying the hell out of this Aero show in spite of the wonky mix. Been meaning to go to Vegas for a show or 5 but just can't get it together.

Quotegrzegorz67 Quotepaulywaul Good to know. The 2 big players in that market are that lot and StubHub, the latter being marginally more ethical and owned by eBay. I don't think you'll ever completely stop ticket touting but it would be good to see the worst excesses curved. Actually Ebay is trying to sell off Stubhub which was valued at billions but with TM starting to close off t

Quotetrader62 I was there as well. I was expecting each to do a smaller set then come out together for a 3rd set of perhaps 45 minutes. That said, the 22 minutes we got truly blew me away and ended as my favorite concert set EVER! It ended differently than I would have expected but I'm nobody to judge their antics. This was never possible due to the 8pm start time on the ticket and the

QuoteRocky Dijon Quoteroller99 I bought my tickets in January and knew that it was only a set. The promoter was very clear on that. And it was the most in-depth concert together in 35 years, but not the most recent. So if the tickets sold out in a couple of hours in January, how can people complain in September? Because when the tickets sold out in January, a portion were snatched up by the se

It was OK. 85 minute nonstop hit parade, awkward 6 minute intermission, Jeff comes out, and the place just goes dead. The Do Ya Think I'm Sexy crowd wasn't digging it.
