Quotestonerolling "I understand that they use guitar players behind the scenes on nights when they really can't play." Where's your SOUrce? If untrue isn't this bordering on libelous?... Ultimate Guitar Article Maybe they should sue but then, We all know Blondie Chaplin way back when would strum an acoustic during some numbers offstage or Chuck's over

QuoteNashvilleBlues Tulsa will probably be getting fewer shows after their Pearl Jam and Bruce sales. Pathetic. This is one of the top arenas in the country. I wouldn't worry too much about it. This isn't the first show there to not sell out or bottom out on the secondary. Keep in mind with the end stage setup, it's more like 13-14,000. On top of that, most arena shows, everywher

Rolling Stones, always a trailblazer in the concert industry, were also the first act to take a cut of the fees according to founder and CEO from 1982 to 1998 Fred Rosen. From a fascinating in-depth interview via my favorite music podcast. Lefsetz asks when did Ticketmaster start sharing the fees with the acts he said not while I was in charge. Except for the Rolling Stones!

QuoteBackstreetCaliforniaGirl Hi, I’m kinda late to this thread, and I can’t seem to find the speculated yet quasi verified maybe by someone who has a source, possible city list, and now what months? Apologies if this is super redundant, y’all are so often spot on. Can anyone please repost that here? Thanks and rock on Since the tour was canceled, if it was ever really on, the dates have been d

QuoteNashvilleBlues Any price predictions for the upcoming tour (PIT, sections just behind PIT, cheapest nosebleed , etc.)? The same plus 11% or whatever accounting for inflation. Pit as usual sell only a fraction at actual face, platinum out the rest and whatever is unsold, throw in the Lucky Dip pile.

Quotedkwalika So, we know of four rumoured sites (Edmonton, Chicago, Boston area, Cleveland). Any scoop on the other ten (if the fourteen number is correct). Even if ... no way any new tour would mirror the canceled tour exactly. Example late fall = more domed stadiums, less outdoor, etc with NFL and MLB playoffs in the way.

Quotejason8903 Bjornulf Does this moving of the tour to the fall mid September to mid November have to do with all the other big acts already hitting the road in the summer and maybe road crews may not be available till September. or stadium dates may not be open. Asking the same question a different way over and over isn't going to get the desired response

Quotetimmyj3 I have been thinking about what the Stones future "stage" plans could be. I thought about the Ray Davies "Storyteller" tours of the late 90's. They were half music, half storytelling. I would love to see the boys in a intimate setting (under 1000). Basically just going over the celebration/history of the band and taking questions and interacting with the

Quotebuffalo7478 Thanks BV. There are so many big and little details to arranging a tour by any band, let alone the Stones. I's dotted, T's crossed on everything from venue availability, contracts for everything, finance, personnel availability, routing, insurance, transportation, visas, permits...mind boggling detail. I can only imagine the piles of paperwork. A machine with many movi

QuotegeorgeV Here is a thought, is there a Festival in the Fall where they could get a huge payday to make changing the whole tour worthwhile? Is Desert Trip coming back this year? Maybe they were trying to extend the Summer tour through to that but then decided it was too many shows, too long on the road, too costly to hire a crew that long? Perhaps changing a 14 show tour from Summer to the Fal

QuoteTopi BTW, guarantee you nobody actually paid 5 grand for Springsteen either. Of course it makes for a good headline. I once accidentally listed a Foreigner ticket for 5 grand. It didn't make the news that I am aware of. Nobody bought it at that price either.

video: Happy Birthday Yoko! The infamous, chaotic, riot inducing performance from Tater Totz at the 1988 Beatlefest at the Bonaventure Hotel, Downtown Los Angeles. This one time line up included 1970's teen idol Jimmy McNichol on percussion, Steve McDonald on bass, Bill Bartell (aka Pat Fear) on guitar, Jennifer Schwartz on vocals, Victor Indrizzo on drums, and Dave Markey on bongos a

Seems to me a lot of amateurs bought into the hype of the alleged "$5000 tickets" and went all in Houston and Tulsa since those were the 2 shows where tickets were actually easy to get. And this is precisely why I have always advocated for unrestricted resale. I am a big fan of going to any concert if I can get in for $10. If someone else pays a thousand it's not my problem.

I thought Rock In Rio was a possibility but I think it's every other year so that would exclude 2023. There is another festival called The Town in Sao Paulo put on by the RIR founder in September with 105,000 capacity but I am not sure if the lineup is complete or not. Thought maybe the promotional tour cycle might be a little different due to the new album but let's face it, it'

QuoteMisterO I thought Rihanna was fantastic. The visual on the floating platforms was probably the most memorable of all time. Although I thought there were too many dancers in those white hazmat outfits and it would have been better with about a third of them. I actually reminded me of Bowie's glass spider tour where the were so many people on stage you had to struggle to decipher which on

There's a stadium in Tulsa now booking shows? This could be an interesting wildcard, if they played Wichita and Norman (OKC) in the past. This could be their regional show if Texas might be considered tapped out.

QuoteHairball With all of the hulabaloo surrounding the U2 Vegas residency, wondering if they've ever been considered for the new Desert Trip 2023. Might work well with The Cure, Depeche Mode, and Radiohead, but admittedly I would have no interest whatsoever with the exception of The Cure...maybe...in the desert...maybe not... In spite of the obvious Joshua Tree tie in and the fact they

QuoteHairball Seems a bit odd to go back in time and base entire shows and a residency on an album that's over three decades old - maybe they're recognizing their latter era output has been inferior? Definitely has a Vegas vibe to it all...like a musical/theatrical cirque de soleil show. Strange days for U2...they used to be a pretty good band in the early-mid '80's. Suc

It looks like Springsteen is out and from what I understand he was going to anchor the whole thing. If they were to do it again it might be (and I thought about this way back in 2016) The Cure - Depeche Mode - Radiohead or something similar. Not only are the classic rock acts that could actually fill the place dropping, you need acts with multigenerational appeal who would actually go to this

Quotedonvis Recently, there was an article in USA today how the Springsteen found fanzine Backstreets is ceasing print publication. The editor said his heart wasn’t in it, partly due to the Springsteen ticket sale where tickets went for thousands of dollars due to dynamic pricing. Many of the readers of the fanzine cannot afford such pricing, and as a result have lost interest in the publication

Would love Out Of Time, Mother's Little Helper and maybe a few BJ era songs. Enough shorter songs they can squeeze in more than 19. Out Of Time might have suffered the same fate as other setlist oddities if the crowd didn't respond so enthusiastically. Have to wait to hear the new album before I say how many I wanna hear in the setlist. Otherwise satisfied with the overall struct
