QuoteTopi I think Edmonton and Ridgedale are out. Too bad, in the 21st century at least the shows in the Canadian hinterlands have been some of the biggest draws of their respective tours. Ridgedale sounds like a total logistical nightmare for anyone attempting to attend. Kinda like Austin ...

QuoteNsantoro They should really mix in some arenas, haven't played Madison Square Garden since 2006. If it were an open ended year, they probably would. Instead it's limited to 15-20 shows at about 2 shows a week with a massive infrastructure to support. It just wouldn't make financial sense. If the tour were winding up on the east coast I would predict another Hollywood, FL gra

QuoteGasLightStreet Quoteschwonek I wonder what the tour will be called? I guess it is pretty obvious: HACKNEY DIAMOND TOUR In the past we had: Bridges to Babylon Tour Voodoo Lounge Tour A Bigger Bang Tour "They" didn't start naming tours after albums (for) until 1994. How they didn't figure that out way earlier... Reporter: You're touring IT'S ONL

Bill German's is my favorite. It's one of those it could happen to you kind of stories and as someone who got (nowhere near that) close to one of my all time favorites and also spent a crazy hour "on the inside" of another favorite band before deciding I just wanna be a fan, it's all highly relatable.

QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteTopi In that case there's room for 3-4 shows between Chicago and Santa Clara, depending on the Chicago date. The first two July dates are of interest to me. Crazy if this turned out to be accurate..Rose Bowl on July 4th? Or the Palladium July 9?

Quotekeefmick Someone on Shidoobee who appears to actually have info says tour announcement 11/22. I guess we will know in a week. If true, the London based machine should rethink that. The day before Thanksgiving (a strictly American affair) is not a good time to release this kind of info and there is generally very little activity on the ticket front Thanksgiving weekend. We will know all

I have to say though Summer 2024 is looking like it is is going to be the biggest and most packed I have ever seen for UK stadium, castle, festival and park shows. Along with the Euros, I would fully expect the thinking that 2025 is the Stones year for a European tour. Yep, and another b

QuoteMisterDDDD QuoteSecondSet We have a fair number of pieces of information already. Woz has supplied several dates. hymenlips appears to have supplied another. I have shared, however obliquely, my informed opinion on several others, one reported from another board. One more piece from the West Coast or Southeast and I think I could put most of the tour together. You mentioned earlier there c

QuoteDeanGoodman QuoteGerardHennessy Britain has embraced HD rather more enthusiastically than the US. So where is our tour? And maybe Australia, NZ and Iceland embraced HD even more enthusiastically than the UK did. Where's their tour? I'm sorry 300 million+ Americans didn't drop everything to embrace a new album in the first two weeks. Assuming your generalization is valid,

Quotebkrancho I would think that Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego would be considered, as they've not visited the city since 2015 I would have bet this would have made the cut this year but it didn't just because it's a new stadium.

QuoteSecondSet Quotebabyblue QuoteSecondSet QuoteTopi Quotebabyblue I guess Denver is at stadium they played in 2019. Probably, yeah. I've heard otherwise. Not Red Rocks either. About 1000 feet (300 metres) lower. Not sure it's true, but I believe it. I can’t see them not doing Denver as it’s a major city and it is on this years list. I’ve heard that all places on this years list

Violet Grohl was the featured guest on David Bowie's long pianist Mike Garson's residency at the tiny Sun Rose (capacity 120) tonight but Dave dueted with her on Show Me How and played drums on Heart Shaped Box. She was great. If she wants to have a music career she has to be able to touch people who don't know or care who her father is and she is definitely capable of that.

QuoteNashvilleBlues QuoteDan QuoteTopi You can always get a ticket to a stadium show - eventually. Most shows in 2021 were 75% full (regardless of boxscores posting sellouts). Things picked up a bit in 22/23, I think everyone opened up too soon, I know a lot of Stones fans who stayed locked down that tour. I know one who still hasn't gone outside. At least they have a multigenerational

Jimi was on tour pretty much 24/7 for those 3 years while the Stones did about 20-25 shows with only a few festivals. Aside from the Woodstock movie which was kind of an outlier, there was very little commercial outlet for live concert footage at the time.

QuoteNellcote1971 QuoteTopi Looks like the thread has a revised title! BV mentioned spring and early summer. This is consistent with what I had been hearing about a tour in April-June. The lawyer in me still thinks they're mainly going to make up for the 2023 shows they were supposed (remember, Ronnie said: "committed") to play, with some added dates/changes. We'll see.

QuoteRollingFreak Currently seeing her tonight doing Bob Dylan's famous "Judas!" concert. I know nothing about her besides hearing the name in the past, but I can't imagine you can recreate that concert poorly. Was that you who yelled "Judas!" a few rows behind me? The music itself was good, but the show itself was pretty dull. Either people who like Cat Power b

I think Axl might have to forgo back to back nights or shorten the sets a little. Night 1 was as good as I have ever seen them. playing 3 hours 15 mins in a set that included Locomotive. Last night he seemed to run out of steam and skipped Patience / YCBM and the show was 2 hours 35 mins. Still long enough but people expecting the previous night to be matched were disappointed.
