With regard to parking, nothing has really changed since the Forum days, as of my recon on Saturday. Metered parking is still available on Manchester - free after 6 pm on Thursday (LA 1) and free on Sunday (LA 2). There's a private parking lot a near the Sizzler on the NW corner of Manchester and Prairie. I imagine other lots become available on game/show day, incl. the liquor store on the S

Quote24FPS The problem for me, an L.A. resident, is the newness of the stadium. Never been there. Don't know the lay of the land. Don't know how scalpers will work. Don't really know how to get there, how to park. I hear parking is ultra expensive, like $60 USD. Plus I was listening to Steve Jordan drum on the Chuck Berry documentary. Okay, but................ Don't pay $60

Quotefloodonthepage The RS article indicated Charlie asked Steve. "I asked my great friend Steve....." something like that. That was the biggest red flag in a quagmire of red flags. Unless Steve is attending horse shows in Poland, I'm not sure how he and Charlie became great friends. It's just not something Charlie would say even if they were great friends. As others have

QuoteMisterDDDD For getting around, to Santa Monica, Hollywood, etc., the Big Blue bus has worked well for me in the past, but I'm likely only heading down to Santa Monica, Venice area this time which is also easy from LAX and the nearby hotels and costs $1. The Big Blue Bus is great value. As seen on Speed, by the way.

Quotecyclist I'll probably need to ask this closer to showtime, but what options are there for folks who do not have a car and will be staying in LA? I saw someone post that Uber/Lyft is impossible to find after shows. Any private shuttle or public transit options for concerts? Depends where you're staying. SoFi is not some logistically challenging show in the middle of the Aust

QuoteTheGreek QuoteRokyfan Karma. They f***ed their fans who traveled to Atlantic City to be told at the last minute that the show was canceled so they could do the show at the beacon for their model/Clintons audience. A low point in their history all around Yes , as I was looking forward to the Boardwalk Hall concert until we were checking in to our hotel and we had to be told by some

Summer of 1998. Five shows in Amsterdam coinciding with two knockout victories for Holland in the World Cup. Excitement in the air. The day after the last show, Holland *almost* make it to the final. Ugh! Maybe you can find fans who can draw together those two threads, though some may still be traumatized by the nightly murder of Memory Motel by a person who shall go nameless.

Quoteonestep Well personally I really enjoyed watching the streaming performances. +1. Haven't bought a Stones video since 25x5, don't know anything about Olé. Loved seeing these shows I attended, and going over my notes from the time. Even took a bathroom (+ kitchen and laundry) break during Miss You.

^ No merch or booze stands. And after the show, everyone leaves in obedient single file, row by row, separated by 6 feet. Even on the public transport. It might work in Japan.

Quotelikecats Jack Murphy (now SDCCU) stadium is often called decrepit or something synonymous but it’s not as old as other SoCal venues the Stones have played in, such as Dodger Stadium, the Rose Bowl, the Coliseum, or Angel Stadium. I’ll admit I haven’t been to an event at Jack Murphy stadium in awhile but I don’t think it’s crumbling to dust yet. I said, "Your old court house is kind of

Pearl Jam's ticket-refund process has just been suspended because all the workers at the Ticketmaster division handling the tour have been sent home - "All email, phone and chat operations will be unavailable during this time ..." Logical conclusion re: Stones- some patience may be necessary.

Quotespikenyc Even if these shows were covered by their policy, they would probably make us jump thru hoops to recoup our money. Well, you're right about that. These insurance add-ons are a bit dubious, just like those offered by airlines. But it does help to read the policy before buying - a quick google search indicates the Allianz policy is for individual mishaps - covered illness/inj

Quote2014Slayer Hopefully Air Canada will be flexible once we find out new dates. Air Canada just announced it will suspend most of its international flights by the end of March, which hopefully means our flights are cancelled for us and credit cards reimbursed. Much better than their current offer - a flight credit that expires at the end of the year. The devil will be in the details, of cours

Quotestickyfingers101 second, it's called "coronavirus" (not Wuhan-Virus, which might be misinterpreted as "racist" by some, FYI).... Silly times. Interestingly the Chinese who don't live in Wuhan are using that term.

Quotegrzegorz67 If they cancel, I think they would have to wait until the virus has been declared gone before announcing a rearranged tour. The Insurance will be cost prohibitive, for them and every other large scale act. They would also have to give consideration to the economy - not just damage from the virus but also from the Russia-Saudi oil price war.

Quotewonderboy Please remember that if you sell your stocks today you are locking in your losses. Smart investors make money in these markets. Always think about who benefits from panic. The S&P500 is where it was last June. The NASDAQ is still higher than where it was for much of last year. After a record 11-year bull market, the bubble was due to burst at some point anyway. A 40-50% drop

Quoterara Quotethistrain9900 If they do decide to postpone the tour vs. cancel it, how long a period of time is considered safe to postpone it? 3 months like last year or more? I think at this point there is no way the tour will go ahead as planned. They will most likely push it to fall for now and see how the outbreak develops. If necessary, they would then push it again to next year. That&#

QuoteOneHourPhoto Besides being the right thing to do, the SWSX promoters placed a tremendous amount of pressure on local officials to cancel the events as it is such a mammoth event with people coming from all over the world and people/companies spending hundreds of millions of dollars in the local economy. It was for hopes of financial recovery from the official cancellation and for future good

Quoteartedm Justin Bieber just downgraded his stadium shows into arenas due to “unforeseen circumstances” (which is a decades-old industry term for “not selling”) I knew I could count on a Stones site to give me my Bieber fix. Seems he downgraded some shows, not all. Hard to see him filling remaining stadiums like Levi Strauss, Soldier Field or the Rose Bowl. CV would be a perfect excuse to con

A city is not going to care to declare a State of Emergency in order to cancel a concert. We're not talking single concerts, though. The Stones aren't the only band touring this summer.
