The supreme irony of long-in-the-tooth Rolling Stones fans dissing these bands is obviously lost on many here.

You never know which Buddy you're going to get. There's the force of nature, hurricane of blistering six-string fire, focused and ferocious Buddy "M-ther F-ck-ng" Guy... OR There can be Attention Deficit Buddy who stops and starts songs, forgets what he's saying (or playing), meanders all over the stage and venue acting a bit goofy and, while entertaining, isn'

Quoteschwonek Quotepowerage78 Nothing at this time says that AC/DC will tour. Well, they will perform in October in California. Correct and it's doubtful they would simply play one show and go home. Given that AC/DC share (or used to share) road crew with the Stones it's possible the original plan was for crew members to work for the Stones in June and July and AC/DC in the Fall.

Metallica, KISS and Guns and Roses are already on tour this Fall. AC/DC just confirmed for Power Trip in California in early October. One would assume there will be other dates performed around then by Angus & Co. In years past AC/DC and the Stones have shared many of the same seasoned road crew members which is why they're rarely on tour at the same time. TOOL, also performing at Pow

It was the best of tours, it was the worst of tours. Prime example of the former? Ft. Worth, Passaic or Detroit. Prime example of the latter? Cleveland (AKA the worst Stones show ever performed. In a literal Dante's Inferno sort of atmosphere.

I kind of like the idea of the imagery coming full circle with a fresh group portrait similar to this. Something that still wouldn't be out of place fifty years ago. No high concept - just them. Bear in mind, modern album graphics need to work at about one inch square as most people see them on their phones or computer screens now.

If people buy the $563 tickets then that is what they're worth. 15-16 years ago the Doobie Brothers played a 3,000 capacity amphitheater at an art museum and park in my town. Hoity-toity crowd and venue. Tickets were $110, or so, and that stirred up a mighty ruckus. Then it sold out. Then they came back the following summer to the same place and did it again. After a couple Covid postp

1965. My counselor at YMCA camp had a transistor radio he'd play during mid-day break. "Satisfaction" was HUUUGE that summer.

I've seen the Rolling Stones 38 times. Every tour since 1975 and ending in Hollywood, Florida in '21. I'm hoping to make it an even forty.

The tour supposedly goes from "June into September" which could mean a longer outing than the 14-15 shows we've seen in the last ten years or so. Consider it might have been Charlie that had them doing the (age appropriate) smaller runs He was the oldest and had the most physical job to do. Mick doesn't count because, well, he's Mick.

Applebees is like McDonalds but with liquor added. Somebody in Stones world licenses those songs so it's on them. Applebees should at least add Shepherd's Pie to the menu though.

Even now the majority of people attending a stadium Stones concert have never seen them before. Jagger knows this and points to the majority of ticket buyers who would be very disappointed not to hear "Miss You" or "Tumbling Dice." Kind of like going to Disneyworld and missing Splash Mountain. For this reason, and the band's advancing ages shortening the shows, the trunca

A basketball?!? A soccer ball maybe but come on. It's like the Stones have hired Gene Simmons to run their merchandising arm. Gaudy and tasteless works for KISS but the Stones should be treated a bit more reverently.

I was too young in '72 but I contributed to Houghton's Queen, Zep and Cream books as well as his forthcoming Faces tome. Yeah, I don't get paid AND I have to buy the damned books but I don't care, it's an enjoyable exercise and it's nice to know it's written down somewhere.

About 25 years ago a poor lady drove almost an hour to my home at the behest of a record store owner friend of mine. She had what she thought was a valuable Rolling Stones poster from the 1969 tour. She was more than a little crestfallen when I explained that the Stones did not play Cincinnati in 1969 and Joe Cocker didn't open for them on that tour. Moreover the photo of the band on the

The artists are entirely complicit with TM and Livenation (or whomever) and their pricing schemes. Don’t think for a minute they aren’t. If you want be be angry, fine, but be mad at the at ALL the guilty parties including your rock and roll heroes. I’ve seen people here (and elsewhere) who think TM alone keeps all that extra filthy lucre. That’s stupid.
