I am surprised that Keith considered to do something solo with Gram, at a time, when the Stones fought for their survival. That could have meant the end for them. I think it has always to do with personal taste which voice you like. A voice has to touch your soul somehow, it does not need to be a "good" voice. I have never been a fan of Keith´s singing, for example, his voice never touched me, and that does not mean i have bad taste.
