Does Keith say anything about Mick´s work with Taylor? Or why Mick had to work with Taylor?

QuoteMathijs And Keith's confirms what I have always believed -he wrote the bulk of Stones material. He had the riff, the melody, the song titel and main theme, and then would throw it at Mick, whom he then credits of being a genius in completing the song. He states there's just a few Mick songs -YCAGWYW, SFTD, Moonlight Mile and BS. Especially MM is a revelation, as this adds to Taylor

QuoteDoxa Quotekleermaker Any new insights, except that Keith was a (com)poser, and totally on drugs and lonely from '70 until '80? One point that might especially interest you. Keith claims that when Taylor joined, Keith started to write songs that had Taylor's abilities already taken under concern. He knew what Taylor could and would do for them. That is to say that Taylor exte

So does he give Mick enough credit for songwriting, for all the songs Mick came up with and worked on with Mick Taylor for example, or does he only credit Mick for shaping up Keith´s songs?

Quotemickschix Well put, Squiggle! You summarized why many of us are deeply troubled by this bio. You captured in a few sentences what a lot of us wasted many words trying to express. Exactly. Especially me with my limited english. I found that very arrogant, this "joy of friendship" quote. The joy of friendship with Keith? He talks so much about betrayal and loyalty but he did the sa

Quotewith sssoul Quoteelunsi Quotewith sssoul Keith did not badmouth Mick at all. He called him the best frontman ever, and mentioned that some of the songs he wrote were written specifically for Mick to sing (citing Midnight Rambler and Gimme Shelter – that’s what he said). . Why "specifically" written for Mick to sing? Mick is the singer, so of course they are written for Mick to

Quotenonfilter How strange is it that Mick Jagger has been so low profile for the last couple of years. One onstage appearance with Bono, one Rolling Stone cover, no solo music, no movies, just a few minor tv spots advertising things he did 40 years ago. Has he lost interest in his art? Exile was a lot of work, writing new "songs" for it. And he will be in India for the Radja

QuoteBliss I know we've heard it all before, and she is starting to look really tragic, but there are some things about Jerry that show what a huge heart she has. Like her being friends with L'Wren and all of his exes, (except for Carla). And she had Mick's dad for family Sunday dinner up until his death, long after they had split up. To be honest I don´t think L´Wren or Bian

He said he found out about it much later. So he went to Marianne because he only thought there is something going on? Maybe it is not true like Anita said so all that resentment over the years was unnecessary.

Keith said it very clear that they are no close friends anymore. To me it seems that Keith can´t accept that Mick lives and thinks differently than he does, and is still a happy person. As for Mick, I think he put so much effort in the project "The Rolling Stones" that he just does not want it to be destroyed be Keith. But maybe, at 67, he thinks differently. We will see.

That´s interesting. Mick does everything to hold the band together, but he gets called egoistical. Charlie once said that Mick always does what he thinks is the best for the band. Even if it means to remain quiet over Keith´s insults. What exactly does he do wrong? There was something else interesting what Keith said in a recent articel, when he was asked about his daughters Playboy-pictures.

Quoteswiss Quoteturd Just to get back to the Mick's 'dick' quote - It's somewhat ominous that no female who has been bedded by Mick in the past however many years, (and I assume that must be more than 4), has come to his defense, to uphold his honour...... Many women over the years have made oblique comments about Mick not living up to their expectations in bed. I always tho

I think what I dislike the most is that Keith thinks this book opened Mick´s eyes (about himself) and that he thinks Mick can take the "truth". That kind of arrogance does not suit Keith well.

QuoteEdward Twining I think somewhere along the line, Mick lost interest in the musical output of the Stones, and started thinking more in terms of his own interests than in the band as a whole. ... Somewhere along the line, though, the music began to seem much less important to Jagger in a genuine sense, and much more as a way of satisfying his own ego. quote] Mick was writing songs and

Yes, maybe, but unfortunately Keith makes such an annoying promotion for his book. It is more the interviews and what Keith, not the press, says, what I find disappointing.

QuoteAddicted And from family one can take the thuth and critizism... And Keith doesn't say anything wrong about Mick. How do you know, that what keith says is not wrong? Or what the truth is? It seems that the book-promotion goes that way that I hoped it would not - on Mick´s back or on the expense of Mick. Does he really needs Mick to promote his book?

I think it is a difference if certain things are said in an interview or if they are written down in a book. Mick will be asked what he thinks about the book in the next interviews and then we will hear if starts saying what he really thinks about Keith or things that happened, and how Keith reacts to that, or if Mick will remain silent about that.

QuoteDoxa Slew, it is intersting that at the time of Mick and Keith's ego fight that started after Keith's quitting baddest habits and demanded control, all the public sympathy seemed to be in Keith's side. That's the impression I had at the time. Jagger's solo career was somehow ill-started from the beginning since Keith's role and significance was so much recognize

Quotestupidguy2 [I actually think Bianca hurt Jagger the most, contrary to the images they evoked. I know that's a rare opinion in Stonesdom. But hmmm....just a hunch. I don´t know if it is only a rumor or if it is true that Bianca never understood what he was doing. And that she told him to stop with that childish music-making and do something more meaningful. Quoteproudmary Keith also said in couples of last Exile' interviews that Mick never was dope-clean like people think, and at the time of Exile he was taking everything. Now I guess we can to trust Keith But did Mick ever claim to have been drug-free? I don´t think so. It seems that he always had them under control, that he knew how much his body can take and when to stop.

I think that needs a public statement by Mick. Like he did, when Jerry claimed that he never payed anything for the house and the children. He said her remarks are absurd and that he was always more than willing to pay the lion´s share of her lifestyle (or something like that), which was very unusual for him, and showed the level of his anger.

QuoteDandelionPowderman I agree with you, Alex, although I can understand Keith not wanting to be outshined by Mick during his songs (like on Happy earlier). this is, what is hard for me to believe. If he does not want Mick to be on stage during his songs, then he only needs to tell that to Mick. I can´t imagine Mick to sign such a thing.

In another interview Mick said that all what people expect from an autobiography is that you bash your friends. He has not done that in interviews so far, so it would probably be shocking for some people if he suddenly did. You cannot only write about the positive things in life and he certainly has some negative feelings about ex-partners, for example, or old friends, Keith. He once said that he
