QuoteMarkdog Love every note Ron plays in this version. I agree.I love his playing then.Faces-era Ronnie actually had a very distinctive sound, you always know it's him. When taking a solo, whilst never very technical,he also had the knack of playing exactly the right note at the right time.He kind of lost that in the Stones, but he still had it here...

Quotestarstar74 Quotejamesfdouglas Quotestarstar74 I'm not referring to the '75-'78 tours as examples. I'm talking about how he approaches certain songs. THSMLI from Licks and Rock me baby from the same tour is an example of Mick with LOTS of power in his voice. Same with OOC durung B2B. Balls out power growl singing. Now he's speaking the words with little power in

Wiltern and Roseland are great.I've always thought that Licks was one of Jaggers best tours because he really pushed himself to reach notes he hadn't tried to get to for years, like in Angie for instance and all the examples mentioned here.Pound for pound ie considering his age at the time,I would put it above Europe 73 where he had it but didnt really try to use it,'76 and Voodoo w

I can only echo a couple of comments here.I,m not a fan at all to be honest, but i really liked most of these songs on first listen.Perhaps it's got a lot to do with your own anticiption and expectation of a cd from a favourite artist. If you don't have that connection, and have no preconceptions of what it should or shouldn't sound like,it's maybe easier to enjoy. There again

I was in a trendy bar in London one Saturday night in the late 90's that, for some reason, played the first 3 sides of Exile non-stop.Hearing Casino Boogie and Turd on the Run in that atmosphere was quite interesting! Also, when i was in a strip club in Amsterdam(as you do)in'91,one of the 'dancers' had Cant you hear me knocking as her music

''Toys...'' is my favourite Aerosmith album and this is a great song performed very well I also think that Tyler,of all the singers of that era,is the only one to sound pretty much the same as he did in the 70's.All the others have lost pitch, tone quality and power as they have got older.Whether you think he is a good singer is another matter.I personally think he is a

Easily the best version since 1989 2 loud, crunchy guitars,no sloppy or bum notes and a build up of drama as it goes along that is completely absent in most of the 'modern' versions. I think,in its own way,it stands in comparison with the Taylor years

QuoteErik_Snow Quotestill ill If i could pick one show to be made available as a soundboard it would be this one Mmmm, the audience recording of Charlotte is really really good - I'd say there are some 1972 shows which is at least just as good; though the quality sucks; they are more needed as SBDs..... If I pick and choose I'd say Newcastle or Glasgow 1971, Akron or Detroit 1972 and
