Always this; Who's that woman on your arm all dressed up to do you harm And I'm hip to what she'll do, give her just about a month or two. Bit off more than I can chew and I knew what it was leading to, Some things, well, I can't refuse, One of them, one of them the bedroom blues. She delivers right on time, I can't resist a corny line, But take the shine right o

I agree with many points in this thread.I actually think that recognition factor of the Hot Rocks songs is pretty high among younger people, especially Sympathy,Shelter and Paint it Black but very few venture into the back catalogue.I think it would be worth the Stones considering a 10-12 track special edition of Rock Band or Guitar hero with a mix of hits and album tracks. The Who have done this a

Apart from what the cd will contain.. ''DVD with never before seen footage & extras'' This seems very exciting,i can't immediately think of anything available on bootleg that would fit the criteria ie never seen before 1969/70 footage

Quoteout of my head No kidding. Gone are the days of bringing home an album or CD or tape and actually sitting or laying down and listening to it from beginning to end and soaking it all in. For all the advances that have been made, the simple enjoyment of music has been lost. Over the last few months i've almost forced myself to start doing this again because i was finding it too easy to fi

QuoteFather Ted Of the clips the BBC broadcast, Neil Young was in fine form but man, did the BBC make a mess of their NY coverage. Far too much yak yak from the presenters and repeated showings of novelty acts like The Ting Tings. At least they got their act together for BS&TESB show the next night. They managed to broadcast 90mins of the show, which, hats off to Brooce and his band of

Quotesweetcharmedlife Quotestill ill no Young though Nope. Neil was at Hyde Park. Doing A Day in the Life with Paul McCartney It's a shame to me that since CSNY started up again they haven't toured outside the US.It would be great to see them together in the UK,but as this weekend proves the stars never quite align

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 Thanks Still Ill. Perfect example of what I was talking about too. Exactly! The song is just one of the best grooves in forever, and in comes that keychange that feels like the moving van just pulled up. Great analogy! I just listened to it again for confirmation..it's exhibit A in bad bridges,i can't believe it's there and no-one pulled him up on it

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 It is weird that you bring this thread up. I just got through a long discussion about this. I was telling our bassman, how this has been bugging me for quite a while in Jagger's songwriting. I would say since "She's the Boss" to ABB. I call it the "E flat syndrome". Jagger forces these bridges into his songs. Now ofetn they are...decent en

The version that circulates comes from a rebroadcast of the same footage in the Xmas 1971 end-of-year special. Nothing could be found on TOTP2 ? (which featured vintage performances from the Top o
