Yes we had a great trip to Stockholm - it is a very nice clean city with friendly people - enjoyed it very much indeed. Met some lovely people too including Smithy from Washington DC (in Gamla Stan/ old town), Scott from Canada, Jorge from Brazil, Ingnatius (I think) from USA (front of GC with us) and the Scots lads from Edinburgh, Dave & Martin... plus many more Stones freaks like us... ha..

Posted by: buffalo7478 () Date: July 5, 2014 17:17 With Keith fading, it would seem (on paper at least) that an extra guitarist would help, live. But again, discussed to death on here. Loved or loathed. I would not pay to see the band in their current state, but obviously thousands in Europe just disagreed on this tour. Keith fading??? bullshit man... If you haven't seen

I agree wholeheartedly with Hot Stuff - spot on for me... Personally, I never want to hear Back Of My Hand and Rain Fall Down but Streets Of Love was a highlight of the BB tour which surprised me. We are lucky they are still playing and they are STILL the greatest "live" band ever so I'm happy if they keep playing the hits - I don't care if it is IORR for the 498th time.

Ok thanks for the info erikjjf - so there is definitely no "tongue-pit" and the "golden circle" is not a circle, or even a semi-circle...! Seems a bit dodgy to me - I thought I would get the best tickets after Hyde Park last year, where I bought GA tickets and I couldn't even see the stage, let alone the performers. I felt a bit cheated watching a screen then. The

The Stones website shows a plan of the venue with the "gold circle" section being a semi-circle around the stage out to the b-stage - their plan is not the same as the AXS plan for the same venue which shows the "gold circle" section as being not semi-circular but extending across the full width of the pitch (standing area) at the front of the arena! I was wondering which p

Are you for real RoughJusticeOnYa ? I didn't know it was offensive or "trouble" to use the phrase "you lot" and I refuse to be dragged into some ridiculous game... ...as I said earlier, it would be preferable to lighten up and "keep to the music" - that is what this site is about, not political correctness which in my opinion, has gone way too far. I will not p

I don't agree with you. I think what Keith says in his fantastic book "life" is ok - the homosexuals who were at Studio 54 would quite probably say the same. You lot have been given plenty of freedom and almost more than equality, but you have to stop being too serious, have a joke, have a laugh, don't be ridiculous. I would prefer it if we keep this site more to the music ple

I would not mind losing Miss You for a while but Start Me up, IORR and Satisfaction have to be played for me. Great posting about the old Stamford Hall Deltics - yes Dad (Frank Johnson/ ex British & Empire Lightweight Champion) did work the door job for his friend Frank Bell, who was a heavyweight boxer and ran the place. I don't think the Beatles ever played there though. The article photograph shows the place now in Altrincham, where the Stamford Hall used to be - sadly knocked down now - they

Thanks Powderman & Denny for your nice replies. Yes, we (3 brothers & sister) all turned out to be "big" Stones fans for life including my Mum who is now 83! I am not sure how much this could have been due to my Dad who did, as you quite rightly state, have a pretty exciting career - in fact one time he was a bit like Decca I think, in the respect that he turned down the Beatles

I was having a chat in a pub in Altrincham, Cheshire, UK with my older brother Frank, and a few pals last week-end and the Stones gig in 1963 came up since Frank was a young lad there watching from the stage "wings". Our Dad (also called Frank) was an ex-professional boxer and British Champion in the 1950's and he used to work as a doorman at the old Stamford Hall in Altrincham. My

I can't agree more with Doxa and Silver Dagger - this album is a masterpiece in my opinion - I just love it. I think maybe you would have to be British and over 55 to really appreciate just how great it still is/ and most certainly was, in the 60s...

Just downloaded it last night - great recording and I am really enjoying re-living Hyde Park on this... best live output for a long time in my opinion... my only minor complaint is that they have left out the best two tracks of the gig (I went to number 1) - those were "Bitch" and "All down the line". "till the next time..."
