Quotetreaclefingers It's such a weird coincidence that I was born almost exactly, and I mean to the day, 8 years and 5 months less a few days before this! How many days are "a few days" exactly? Therein could lie a further hidden significance.

Quotedcba From Sorum's book : "The next night [1993-01-15], it was time for our first gig. Ronnie was there, backstage, and one of us said, “Ronnie, you want to come up and play ‘Knocking on Heaven’s Door’ with us?” “Oh yeah, I know that one, yeah, yeah!” he said. “Cool,” said Slash. “It’s really easy, like three chords—G, D, C, and A minor.” “Oh, A minor,” said Ronnie, “the sadd

RIP Wilko Johnson. From a purely visual perspective alone, Wilko and Norman Watt-Roy were a great combination on stage (didn't sound too bad either...).

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Just realized the studio version is posted above. Gave it a listen, too. It's good, but not quite as good as that live version!!! That live version is great. I've often thought that IORR works (even) better in the key of E at a slower pace than the Chuck Berry style live versions in B.

QuoteVoodooLounge13 Quote24FPS And no mention of the most important filmmakers associated with the Stones, the Maysles Brothers? They should be mentioned first. I don't consider Scorcese's involvement more than he shot a concert of the aged Stones. It certainly wasn't any better or more important than the Biggest Bang DVD set, and those directors aren't mentioned at all. Sco

Cool (although the headline from the Torygraph is slightly misleading...). Sounds like Sally had a bit of a Mia Wallace moment with Keith and Ronnie. Presumably she's still in touch with the Alan as opposed to Allen mentioned in the text though.

Quotecrholmstrom Quotexke38 The Black Crowes The Brian Jonestown Massacre The Pixies The new Pixies record is pretty good. Probably the best since Kim Deal left. Sounds promising - definitely something to look forward to then! Haven't caught them live since saw them at the Brixton Academy in 1990 and 1991.

LA Friday totals almost 2 hours 40 mins. YCAGWYW clocks in at almost 16 mins, MR is half a minute longer, SFTD well over 10 mins, (obviously) with a fair amount of jamming going on.

QuoteTopi They opened another window but that only happened after 8 PM. Way too late. They also closed it when the concert started, despite there still being a long queue. Luckily, the people in the original queue were relaxed about letting people from the closed counter line slot in.

I'm excited to add this stop with my son to the shows I will make this year. We prefer to walk whenever possible and want to stay in a safe, fun part of the city. Thank you in advance! QuoteBig Al I’m straying the subject matter a little, but I wonder if any of their guitars used during the tours of the 1970’s and 80’s are used on stage, today? A few have still recently been in use, e.g. Micawber and Malcolm (blond Teles - as everyone no doubt knows...), Dice (TV yellow LP Jr,), Sonny (Sunburst Tele), Keith's black '75 Custom Tele, Ronnie's '55 hardtail St
