At the age of 68, I feel very fortunate to have seen the artists I have most wanted to see. As to regrets, to quote the song, "I've had a few, but then again, too few to mention." I never saw the Beatles, but I have seen Paul three times, George once, and Ringo once. I never saw Led Zeppelin, but I've seen Robert Plant three times and John Paul Jones once. (Keep hopi

I was at the 78 Greensboro show, which was my second Stones concert (the first being in 75). At the time, I didn't think it was anywhere near the quality show as the one in 75, but subsequent listens to the bootleg from this concert have made me rethink the comparison. Lots of energy, Keith was in fine form, and I enjoyed the '"mostly SG songs" set list. Also, I thi

Yeah, at the ripe old age of 67 (68 in March), retired, etc., I think I'm almost done with major concert tours. Eleven Rolling Stones shows from 1975 - 2021 were all fantastic, but I have to ask myself if paying $300 for a chance to hear "Miss You" again is realistic any more. I get to thinking about folks I have not seen, the proverbial "Bucket List" concerts. I

WELCOME TO ATLANTA! It's been my hometown for the past 40 years, and it's a great mixture of big city and small town wrapped into one. Here are some inside tips that might help first timers: FOOD (at the show) Mercedes Benz Stadium is amazing, and has probably the best Concessions of any arena I've visited. Go to Concourse 100 for an amazing selection of most anything

Quotenellcote'71 Great stuff Mongoose. I believe your first show was Greensboro '75 which i saw too. Just took my youngest son to the Charlotte show a few weeks ago - enjoy! Howdy Nellcote! Yep, Greensboro, and, at the time, I was thinking "Glad I'm seeing them now before they get too old to tour." Yeah....right! How was Charlotte?

Good morning, Stones fans, from sunny Atlanta! For those of you visiting for the first time, I hope you enjoy your stay here in the home of the 2021 World Series Champion Atlanta Braves! After seeing the band ten times from Tour of the America's 75 to the Zip Code tour, I figured I was done. Yesterday the phone rang, and it was my youngest son with happy news. His next door neighbo

Die hard Stones fan since 1964, and it gets down to this: They have every right to do what they want to do at this point. However, I really cannot see Mick and ten session musicians going out in the future and billing themselves as the Rolling Stones. I have seen them ten times since 1975, and I'm thankful for every single song I got to hear live. I'm going to pay attention to

Quote2000 LYFH Metamorphosis their 4th album from 1970 is highly recommended. Guitarist Erik Brann left and Mike Pinera and Larry "El Rhino" Reinhardt joined the band - great album... One of the first few concerts I ever attended, in 1970, was Iron Butterfly, just as they had made this personnel change, right before the release of the Metamorphosis lp (a very overlooked great al

Quotebv There are some really strange comments here. I am surprised that I haven't seen any comments about the 4th screen yet. You are so right, bv. You'd think the Stones have just announced they are doing nothing but songs by Bobby Goldsboro from now on. Relax, folks!

As a die hard Stones fan since I first heard “It’s All Over Now” on a car radio in 1964, a semi-retired professional drummer, and a veteran of ten Stones concerts, I have a few observations. First, of course, GET WELL SOON, Charlie! We’re all pulling for you, and we have no doubt we’ll see you again, even if it is for a few select shows here and there. We all knew this day was coming. No

Turns out there were nine more shows to go, up to the Zip Code tour. There does not seem to be any kind of bootleg of even one song from this show, but I still keep my hopes up. Howdy, Voodoo!! Yeah, at the time, the press was saying things like "these guys are older, but they are not burnt out yet!" If anyone had told either one of us back in 1975 that we would still be talking about the Stones. who would still be touring, 46 years later, we would have thought they were out of their mind!

I've always loved the Dead, saw them with Jerry in 1979, as well as later incarnations of the band (Furthur, Rat Dog, Dead & Co., Mickey Hart Band, etc.) Out of curiosity, I checked the ticket prices for the current Dead and Company tour that comes here to Atlanta in October. Lawn Seats are $150 each, with additional fees, good seats upwards of $300 or much more. I wouldn't

QuoteStonedAsiaExile I have a recollection of Etta opening at the Greensboro, NC 26 June 78 show. I know there are some Tarheels here; am I right or just mixed up?? Probably the latter lol I was at that show, too, and became a big Etta fan that very evening. I remember she sang an interesting version of "Only Women Bleed."
