Howdy, Voodoo!! Yeah, at the time, the press was saying things like "these guys are older, but they are not burnt out yet!" If anyone had told either one of us back in 1975 that we would still be talking about the Stones. who would still be touring, 46 years later, we would have thought they were out of their mind!

My very first Rolling Stones concert, and I thought it might be the only time I would have to see them. Turns out there were nine more shows to go, up to the Zip Code tour. There does not seem to be any kind of bootleg of even one song from this show, but I still keep my hopes up. Anyone else out there at the Greensboro Coliseum on July 31, 1975, Tour of the Americas?

I've always loved the Dead, saw them with Jerry in 1979, as well as later incarnations of the band (Furthur, Rat Dog, Dead & Co., Mickey Hart Band, etc.) Out of curiosity, I checked the ticket prices for the current Dead and Company tour that comes here to Atlanta in October. Lawn Seats are $150 each, with additional fees, good seats upwards of $300 or much more. I wouldn't

All I know is that I was at the Greensboro NC show in 75, my very first Stones concert, and it was magnificent. Of the 10 times I've seen the Stones, one of the best!

QuoteStonedAsiaExile I have a recollection of Etta opening at the Greensboro, NC 26 June 78 show. I know there are some Tarheels here; am I right or just mixed up?? Probably the latter lol I was at that show, too, and became a big Etta fan that very evening. I remember she sang an interesting version of "Only Women Bleed."

My oldest son turned me on to these, which I guess most of the world has been watching for months. You can search for and watch very interesting reactions of songs from Rush, Queen, etc. If you have not seen them, this is a Gimmie Shelter reaction:

Right before beginning classes at Berklee, Fall of 1978, I was walking near the studio when I saw a bunch of folks moving equipment in for a recording session. Figuring I would get kicked out in about 10 seconds, but still wanting to see the inside of the studio, I slipped in behind them. Sitting at the piano was Chick Corea, and Big Band great Woody Herman was coming down the steps from the

Living in Atlanta, USA, I have taken quite an interest to the English Premier League. I made my first visit to London a few years ago, and talking to new mates in the Pubs led me to declare for my team.... Which IS..... (Drum roll, please.....) ARSENAL MLS here in the states is quite a few rungs down the ladder, but Atlanta United won the Championship a year or so ago, and we had sel

In 1981, my wife and I took in a long weekend in NYC, including a Yankee game, show, and more. After the game, we went down to the Bottom Line in the Village to see Phil Woods and Gary Burton. There was Tony, who signed my game program and was just extremely nice. A great talent and a gentleman.

For those of us living in Atlanta in the early to mid 70s, there wasn't a whole lot to get excited about when it came to the Braves. But we DID have Hank Aaron. Dang, what a terrible year for baseball. Hank, Don Sutton, Phil Niekro, Joe Morgan, Tom Seaver, Whitey Ford, Lou Brock, Al Kaline..... RIP, gentlemen, and thank you.

At the end of last night's episode on NBC, they played a nice gospel version of You Can't Always Get What You Want. Normally, when I hear a Stones cover on TV or something, I don't think much about it. But this version was particularly nice. Any idea who sang it?
