not directly but having spent many years around rock in nyc during early eighties (attended listening party for emotional rescue) I was close to some of the stones friends/aquantinces (mick attended dinner at one of their homes up state several times) one guy imparticular (he can be seen on the stones biography film) told me some interesting stories.

I saw Bob Seger in DC last month and he rocked. I first saw him at a outdoor concert in Ohio in the summer of 1976 called Mosiqueto Damn Jam with Blue Oyester Cult, (REO or Styx - cant remember lol) , JGeils and a bunch of others including STARZ - that day I became a follower. But this show SUCKS! yes the set consists of some great classic songs he hasnt sung live in 30 years but the stage setup is not only in the round but he is raised above the entire band. Went to see the show last night in DC and walked away pleasantly surprised and somewhat satisfied. I went with low expectations and scalped a good ticket for $50 in the first level row D. Geils - blew my face out - saw them a number of times in the seventies Bruce Springstein - pre River - New Years Eve 1979/80 Cleveland - It was as a concert gets. Fleetwood Mac - These guys kicked in the late 70's - actually saw them with J.Geils at Cleveland Stadium

Next single should be Oh No Not You Again with back Of My Hand as the flip side. Then you'd have the single of the century so far I love the song but I think they already tested this one on the rock charts and it didn't make it into the top ten on the mainstream rock - not a good indication.
