Quotewith sssoul Well, someone did: Green Lady! I reckon it would've been fairer to include something about the day, somehow, but she got it anyway! Well done, congratulations, brava! The Thor's day and Waltons/Streets references were the most I could do, regarding the day, without straight up saying Thursday.

QuoteGreen Lady On Thursday night she looked a fright. Yess! What I was going for: Scandinavian god = Thor = Thor's Day = Thursday Ghostly figure = scary = fright In 1974, the big TV shows on in America on Thursday night were The Waltons and Streets. "Pricky hair in curls" = laid back clothing I guess I made it a bit too hard, but given all Olly's Shakespeare referen

Dang, I really didn't think it'd be this hard. I thought you guys would pick up on things like with Olly's clues, and the things I wanted you to pick up, I thought, were fairly simple. Haha Maybe I shouldn't badmouth Olly's difficult clues, anymore.

Clue: the "ghostly figure" had a lot to do with a somewhat lax apparel.

Clue: At the time of the song's release date, the person referred to could've been watching The Waltons or The Streets of San Francisco.

Quoteundertheradar I think it could be she's so respectable but i haven't figured it all out yet ( if indeed any of it) What i have come with right or wrong.. into = able a ghostly figure = spectre Anagram of able & spectre = respectable I hope it's not a red herring ......................... I'm off to bed now - best of luck! Ah, but that would seem to

For reference, here's another mix that has more sax. I disagree that this or the one I posted earlier use the same vocal from the album. At the end of both, Mick says, "Do unto neighbours, what you do to your wife." He never says that on the album. Anyway... video:

I've always LOVED this track. The bar band feel, the lyrics, the melody... It just makes me happy. I never noticed the similarities to Send it to Me before, but I love that song too. As much as I love the TY track, the version on Live at Leeds and this demo are better. (The guitars really go nuts here.) video:

I thought, except for rare instances, Keith wrote the melodies and Mick wrote the lyrics. Not true?

Just a suggestion, because I'm starting to feel too dumb or unknowable to play this, maybe make the clues more like brain teasers instead of trivia questions? I don't know, I feel like requiring people to know or look up Shakespeare phrases is a bit too much for word game. Just a suggestion.

I love the 76 European leg of that tour. The 75 American leg, not as much, but still like it. The 76 shows were really stripped down - I love that sound. If any of the Paris shows ever get a CD/DVD release, they'll be my go to.

Some girls take my money Some girls take my clothes I'm thinking the only thing you'd purposely leave in a cab is your money, and clothes are the other thing.

This song is a BEAST. Just really hit me right now by listening to Unsurpassed Masters Vol. 6. Such a loud, arena rock sounding song, amongst all these punk and country numbers. Like, damn. Haha

Isn't the studio cut Mick, Ronnie (pre Stones) and a bunch of other people? Maybe that's why.

Live From the Max was a movie; of course it was 16:9. I don't know the history of this video, but it sounds like it was a televised concert, so 16:9 is outta the question.

Quote24FPS I have no real interest in Stones' lip synched performances, they at least need live vocals. Those final ones on the Ed Sullivan Show with Gimme Shelter/Honky Tonk Women are dreadful. Isn't Ready Steady Go just lip synched? And probably in crappy TV mono. There was a Ready Set Go performance where they did a really smoking live version of Satisfaction, and a few other songs.

Quote24FPS QuoteOldSoul They just need to put up the '60s promos, but that'd probably never happen. Sure it will. As they drain the pool of the APlus material, Ed Sullivan, Charlie Is My Darling, they'll have to put out something new. I don't know exactly how many ABKCO owned promo films there are. It would seem we're not that far from getting to the bottom of ABCKO
