I took my two daughters to a Stones show last summer. The girls were 10 and 12 at the time. I took ear plugs for them, which they used and they still had a blast. They danced all night, standing on the bleachers. I would say six might be a little young (bedtime?) but as a parent it's your call.

Tried to find out more about this release by searching for the Eagle Rock website. Only one problem: The eagle-rock.com website is dead! I followed a link from the UniversalMusic.com web page and got: "This domain has expired. If you owned this domain, contact your domain registration service provider for further assistance. If you need help identifying your provider, visit " W

Definitely not TOTP. I'd love to see Keith and Ronnie playing Firebird VIIs on the same song - so cool.

Being cooped up, as most of us are, I got a Netflix subscription partly on the strength of the music Docs on there. In the last week I've watched a couple of real stinkers: Shot! The Psycho-Spiritual Mantra of Rock allegedly about the photographer/ligger Mick Rock. A total yawn from start to finish Clarence Clemons: Who Do I Think I am? Sadly, a very poorly made movie about one of Mu

Good to know Mike's doing OK. The tour and album were postponed until September due to "Health issues". That was before Covid19 kicked in. The song rocks!

What a load of sef-obsessed shyte. Poor journo got free tickets in the Royal box and all he can do is bitch because the bar is closed. Of course, our tickets explicitly stated no bottles, no cans. Meanwhile the rest of us were struggling just to get to the gig with our overpriced tickets - there was a tube strike going on - Thatcher's Britain at its finest.

QuoteDandelionPowderman Not much rare stuff. Some of my dearest things, however, are: - The tongue-shaped She Was Hot / Think I'm Going Mad vinyl-single - The first pressing of Come On / I Want To Be Loved (Swedish or danish edition with green cover) - «Life», signed by Keith. What kind of condition is your tongue shaped picture disc in? On mine the red ink has leached through to t

QuoteHairball I made a giant collage back in '97 of all my ticket stubs I collected since '77 - apprx. 4 x 3 ft - 20 years worth. Now 23 years later, I have enough stockpiled to make at least three more the same size - maybe even one of them dedicated solely to the Stones! One of these days................. I'm in pretty much the same situation. The frame is full and the dresser

Powderfinger broke up in 2010 too. Although their guitarist, Ian Haug is now playing with The Church: one of the best bands ever to come out of Australia - they are still producing original, thought provoking music.

Another blue plaque: in Tynemouth, a few miles outside Newcastle upon Tyne, England. A little background. Jimi's manager was Chas Chandler who was the bass player in the Animals (from Newcastle). When Chas brought Jimi to the UK he intoduced him to all manner of English culture including fish and chips. Whenever I take my daughters to the UK they always want to eat where Hendrix a

Neil was the drummer's drummer, a perfectionist. I had the privilege to see him play 15 times going back to 1978. He never gave less than 100%. A quiet, private gentleman who left the earthly stage far too early.

QuoteMisterO Hot Rocks is a great choice. I had bought "Made in the Shade" first, but I lost interest in the album soon after. It was after I heard JJ Flash and got Hot Rocks that I really took interest in the Stones music. Made in the Shade was my first Stones album too: I bought it from a kid at school. I then bought Rolled Gold and it was "All Over Now"

Quotefrankotero In case you guys didn't know it already, here's a great deal in my opinion. That is a good price for the Super Deluxe version. Keith's website is still asking $599 for it. I just ordered it from Amazon, glad I waited. Thanks Francotero!

I've been using an 256 Gb iphone 7 for the last 2 years. I've got over 24,000 songs on there and there's still space for photos etc. I can take all of that music on planes and on the road without carrying a separate device.

Great movie. Saw it for the second time last night. Brad Pitt should get an oscar Typical Tarantino movie: too long, too violent and too many in-jokes, which is probably why I like it so much!

Last night I watched the Ian Dury movie: Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll (I don't know how I missed it - it came out in 2010). The Dury movie reminded me so much of Rocketman: flashbacks to childhood - Ian contracted polio as a kid and was left crippled as a result. Showing how his upbringing (or lack thereof) had played a part in his personality and art. Similar to the Elton movie

Took my youngest to see Rocketman last night, we both enjoyed it, immensely. It's a no holds barred account of Elton's life: the movie cuts no slack towards Elton, his family or many of the people surrounding him throughout his career. The film uses his songs to tell his story, warts and all. It's true that many of the songs were not in their chronologically correct place but the

QuoteMisterDDDD Quotetimbernardis Don't they usually have a post Christmas sale every year? plexi They do, at least on the US site. 50% off anything in the store on day after Xmas (I believe). Bought an autographed Stones 50 litho that way a few years ago.. I picked up the Brussels Affair Box a few years back in one of those sales.

QuoteHappy Jack One question I've always wondered: what happened to Queen in the US in the 80s? After the 1982 tour they never toured North America with Freddie again. Its like they were hot in the 70s then in the early 80's, poof their popularity dissipated despite being popular every where else in the world. Any ideas why? The main reason that Queen quit playing the USA in the 198
