I bought the Super deluxe package when it was $40 or so last year. It is a huge box: the book appears to be the catalogue from the NY MoMA exhibit that was going on for the 50th anniversary. It's certainly worth getting at the current price.

The scalpers are still getting and selling tickets. I've heard that they're using prepaid visa cards to get round the restrictions. They give you the visa card with the tickets. I tried for 3 separate shows on the days of release (DC, Baltimore and Greensboro) and didn't get a sniff. Meanwhile Stubhub and the like are full of tickets at multiples of the original price.

I recently saw Mike Portnoy playing with Neal Morse's band. He is an incredible drummer; a prog rock drummer who can swing. I was really impressed. My buddy who introduced me to Mike's music has loaned me a few DVDs (Transatlantic, Neal Morse) which give glimpses of Mike backstage and in the studio. He seems to be a really cool and humble dude - and a great drummer !

Saw Motorhead 3 times back in the early days, with Fast Eddie and Philthy Animal (RIP).
