Hi Matt Have a think about buying a media server with synced cloud storage. Map out a classification hierarchy then consider filming yourself taking about the items. The advantage of this approach is you will add facts to the video that you will never add to any database which you will find valuable in later years. Cheers Andrew

Hi Matt Have a look at Collectorz.com. It is subscription based but they have various products for different types of collections e.g music, movies, books and comics etc. Provides a software database and synced cloud based option with apps that enable you to have your collection on the move. You can also export data into Excel etc. The biggest issue is of course data entry but the basics c

Another blues album for Christmas would be great. This time I would like a focus on the artists of the blues pioneers of the 20’s and 30’s. Some more Robert Johnson songs as well as Charley Patton, Blind Blake, Blind Willie Johnson, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Leyroy Carr, Tampa Red to name a few..... Cheers Andrew

It is great that Carly got a copy of the tape. I have always loved ‘Your So Vain’ and Micks backing vocals on that track. Here is hoping that we get to hear the full tape one day. Well done Matt. Were these tracks documented before? Cheers Andrew

I picked this book up a couple of weeks ago from a store downunder. I had given up buying Stones books as they are mostly a rehash of all the stories we know but this one is different and highly recommended. Well researched and the memorabilia photos are worth the price of the book alone. Also comes with a cd which has nothing new but is a nice addition.

There is a 1A/1A matrix but not aware of any differences between this and later pressings in terms of sound. Cheers Andrew

Hi all I got this DVD on the Reckless Soul Records release 'Keith Drugs and Rolling Stones' 4 DVD set but unfortunately I cracked DVD 3 getting it out of the box and now it won't play at all. It is the show from Sydney AllPhones Arena on 12 November 2014. Evidently the DVD was sourced from YouTube clips but is still good so I am keen to get a replacement. There is another Sydney

QuoteCome On In Sweden, it was virtually impossible to find US pressings of the Stones ' albums in the ' 60s, so when I got my first one of them in 1965 that was Out of our Heads so I was sure it was an English Edition .... This has I believed until a 3 years ago when it was taken up in any thread here on the Forum ... Here comes another mysterious album cover-front page: Well

Would be happy if we get this. ER and GOMC would be fantastic. LIB is cool but would probably prefer Factory Girl which they rehearsed in Adelaide from memory.

BV there is great craft beer in Adelaide. Coopers is a macro brewer but their ales are bottle conditioned and better than any beers like VB or Carlton. In Adelaide if you don't like Coopers you are not a real beer drinker. Try a Coopers Sparkling Ale after the show. Don't let the locals fool you though. The bartender might try to roll it for you. If you don't enjoy yeast crud in yo

Australia and New Zealand are still part of the Commonwealth and despite being strong and independent countries we have a familiarity and fondness for the band that is heightened by the isolation we feel in terms of distance. A Stones tour Downunder is no different than anywhere else in the world but we can't help feel blessed that the band is coming so far to play for us. It is going to be

Hi all Perth 73 is one of the best live bootlegs ever! Yes the playing is a bit ragged but nothing beats it for raw power and feeling. Brussels 73 has more polish but being an Aussie in my biased opinion the 73 OZ shows are some of the best ever put on tape. Cheers Andrew

Hi all Just as an update to this series of posts. Finally getting around to sorting out all the cds collected in the late 90's and early 2000's (before downloading became possible) and I am sad to reveal that many releases on cdr bought at the time namely Sister Morphine and Mickboy releases in many instances either no longer play or are unable to be archived due to errors. These

QuoteMrsHop Quotescottkeef I have quite a few original SM cdrs (some over 10 yrs old) and have never had a problem, they all play as well as the first day I received them. Guess I was just lucky..... Yes- me too. They used 'MAM' (Mitsui Audio Mastering) cdrs, which are the absolute best on the market. The 'silver' ones apparently have an expected life-span of 100 years &

Hello I have available for sale original silver cd's of the 8 cd Invasion Unlimited studio outtakes set. The set includes outtakes from the early sixties through to the late 80's. This is a great collection and one that I have enjoyed listening to over the years but it is now time to pass it on to someone else. I would prefer to sell these cd's as a set but I will accept offers
