UPDATE: street fighting man the best version I have ever heard. Feral! Visceral! Unbelievable they played that fast. My journey home from work needs to be longer to listen to more. Tumbling Dice almost sounds like a different song. Obviously, the virtuosic guitars on Brussels are mostly Mick Taylor???

Could I ask a question to add on to this post. Which is the best performance of 19th Nervous Breakdown in the 2021 tour? Would love to know what people think.

I thought the Who album from 2019 is very good. Are the Stones not stuck if they put new music out, only for( some) people to say it’s not as good as the old stuff??

I have a random thought that the Beatles sound almost generic, but the Stones at their best a very exciting sound. As for the 1st albums…. Beatles very polished even early on. The Stones sound more raw somehow..

Just a thought? Would they play small venues in the UK such as equivalent of Marquee club or Brixton Academy. I suppose this depends on the logistics. Hoping for North West UK …. Manchester or Preston.Re Keith’s playing, maybe pacing themselves is the thing…. I wouldn’t worry if he sits down sometimes if the quality is there as in Gimme Shelter….

It makes me think there is a class based sense of jealousy that the Rolling Stones are still doing so well. Sadly, the daily Mail is still one of the highest selling newspapers in the UK…

It was an incidental question I wondered if Beast of Burden was one of the best tracks showing the melding of Keith and Ronnie’s guitars?

Firstly I really like the song. Always enjoyed the guitars. I have a question though, is it always so trebly or is it just the mastering?? What would be the best compilation or album to listen to it on re: the mastering or recording??

I was listening to Respectable this afternoon. The song rocks hard I think it’s fantastic. Incidentally, is Beast of burden and generally speaking most of Some Girls the best example of Keith and Ronnie’s guitars really melding together..

As for Start me up. Yes I agree with the comments about Ronnie’s solo it’s just sounds very strange. But the song altogether sounds good the sound has melee well with Steve Jordan’s drumming …. It’s good! It doesn’t mean I don’t miss Charlie cos I do! Tokyo done version and flashpoint of SMU I always enjoy!

Wow!! This is awesome. I always loved the song, and it was a real pleasure to learn it was going to be played this tour. It was mentioned elsewhere that the drums are shuffle style anyway SW really effective on this one.Brilliant!!!

QuoteThe Worst. Many good suggestions, but the one thing that made it possible for them to do big stadium tours from 1989 and onwards is the incredible physical (and mental) discipline of Mick Jagger. If he had been overweight or not able to move and dance, or simply lost his voice, it would have been very different. Just think of Elvis at the end. It’s too sad to watch. The fact that Jagger has

I think it’s great potentially that some people may come to the Rolling Stones for the first time, and find out how amazing they are via hot rocks.
