QuoteDoxa QuoteCristiano Radtke From Keith: "Making music with “Sonny” 1967 Fender Telecaster Sunburst" Always nice to see and hear Keith playing the blues. Beautiful, idiosyncratic touch. I could listen this for ever. But, of course, if this is 'making music' probably the aims for creativity aren't that high any longer... (no, I don't think this is any of

Quote24FPS Quotematxil QuoteStoneage So the fanbase conclusion here is that there is absolutely no need for a new album with original material since their production of new material has been so prolific during the last two decades; spoiling us with new remakes of old songs and new blues covers? And asking for a new album is really the height of insolence and ignorance? Did I get it right? No

Quotegotdablouse Is it me or is the snippet from yesterday the weakest one they've "released" over the past X (4, 5, who's counting at this point...) years ? It sounds a bit like Mick on "Let's Work" ;-) Surely that's not what Mick had in mind when he said the material had to be "great" ? The longer the wait, the higher the expectations... As fo

QuoteRambler62 I think the "NEW" Album will be a kind of leftovers and Solorecordings with a little help from their Friends! They are no STUDIOBAND in these days! If we were to believe the Nepali source, we will get something like B2B reloaded.

QuoteRocky Dijon I know it's a good thing to stand up for the underdog, but it doesn't sound like micha063 was intimidated one bit. Still posting and with the attitude of "I'll say what I like" doesn't sound like someone who needs a crowd backing him to get back in the game. What we had was a typical passionate fans disagreement that would blow over sooner if it'

At this stage a bad album cannot really damage their career. In the worst case it will sink without a trace. And then, they have not released a really bad album so far. Even if the new album isn't Sticky Fingers it will certainly be nothing to be ashamed of.

The "Almost took a year to make" would only work if they scrapped everything they did up to (and including) 2021 and started from scratch again - in which case they had bonus material for three bonus CDs for the 50th anniversary of the new album.

Doesn't seem to be an interview the writer conducted himself: "In a recent interview, lead singer Mick Jagger shed light on ..." I can't recall any interview(s) where Mick said such things - also, they would have been posted here as soon as they were out. Could this be cobbled together from bits and pieces from statements over the past couple of years? - Still, all this doesn

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteDoxa Well, since this is Mick and Keith's last collobaration creatively, let them enjoy arguing over the product. They probably don't know any other way to get something done. That's part of the Glimmer Twins charm: fight, have a compromise solution, and laugh all the way to bank... But seemingly there is the record company on one hand, wanting the

Since we will never know how Keith's version of the album (or of particular songs) would have sounded it is hard to know what exactly he is unhappy with, unless he speaks out to the media. Can't recall right now the source for Keith's purported unhappiness with Andrew Watts, maybe just a rumour anyway? Otherwise, funny we hardly ever wonder in which respect Mick might be unhappy wi

Quote24FPS I'm not as worried about getting an album in the fall, as I am about no new product until then. There's been no noise or whispers about a vault release. Maybe the new album will be the next vault release. So long in the making, certainly qualifies as one, with tracks sitting in the vault for many years.
